Abut the Moot Competition

The SVKM’s NMIMS School of Law First National Moot-Court Competition, 2022 is the first edition of the Moot-Court Competition organized by School of Law, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Navi Mumbai.

The event aims to construct a productive platform where young legal minds come together and showcase their skills which are far more valuable than winning or being eliminated in an event. 

Eligibility and Team Composition

Participation is strictly restricted to bonafide undergraduate law students pursuing the three years or five years LL.B. degree programme from the Institution/University recognized by Bar Council of India.

There shall be no restriction in more than one participation from one Institution. In case of two teams from one participating Institute qualify for Oral Rounds, the team scoring more in Memorial Round shall be allowed to continue in Oral Rounds. Each team shall comprise of two speakers and one researcher. Team of three is compulsory.

Once registered, a team will not be permitted to vary the composition of the team members in any manner. Changes, if any, may only be made with the express permission of the Administrators (at their discretion), if due reason is shown for the same.

Any changes with respect to the contact details shall be notified to the competition administrators with immediate effect. This obligation to inform shall continue throughout the course of the Competition.

The procedure for registration for the competition is as follows:

  • Teams shall register themselves through the Google Form link.
  • All the teams shall be required to make a payment of INR 1800/- via NEFT in favour of details provided below to register for the Competition:

  • The Memorial has to be submitted only in soft copy.
  • Each Team shall submit the soft copy of the Memorial, in “pdf and doc” format on or before 10 April, 2022 not later than 11:59 pm [IST] as per rules mentioned in the Competition Manual.
  • Each Team has to send four (4) separate file attachments: two (2) as Memorial for the Petitioner(s) [one each in PDF and Microsoft Word (.docx or .doc) format] and two (2) as Written Submission for the Respondent (s) [one each in PDF and Microsoft Word (.docx or .doc) format].

About the Moot Competition

Amity Law School, Jaipur (Rajasthan) is organizing their Amity National Moot Court Competition 2022, online from April 8 to 10, 2022.

Eligibility

The Competition shall be open for the law students who duly enrolled and are pursuing an integrated 5 years or 3 years Law Program or LLM program from an educational institution recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Team Composition

Each team shall consist of two speakers and one researcher. Teams are to notify which members are the respective speakers and researchers.

No change of speaker to researcher or vice-versa shall be permitted except upon application to the Organizing Committee.

About the Competition

Government New Law College, Indore, Madhya Pradesh proudly announces its GNLC’ SECOND ALL INDIA MOOT COURT COMPETITION, 2022 from March 26th – 27th, 2022. This Moot Court Competition aims to give exposure to the students pursuing law courses all over India in various prestigious colleges and universities.

The competition seeks to enhance interaction among the students of various national and other colleges and universities. The purpose of this competition is to provide real-life experience cum training regarding advocacy skills by allowing an opportunity to present persuasive and cohesive arguments and flourishing technicality of researching in the concerned area of law.

Eligibility 

(Only sixteen teams shall be enrolled on the basis of First come, first served)

All students enrolled in three-year LL.B. or five years integrated LL.B. courses from any Law College/Institution/University recognized by the Bar Council of India are eligible to register for the GNLC’ SECOND ALL INDIA MOOT COURT COMPETITION, 2022. Only one team from any University or College shall be allowed to participate.

Team Composition

Each participating team can comprise two (2) or three (3) members. In the case of two (2) members, both the members shall be designated as Speakers and any one of them shall also be designated as Researcher. In a team of three members, two members shall be designated as Speakers and the third member as Researcher.

About the Moot Competition

MP Law College, Aurangabad, Maharashtra is organizing its XXII National Moot Court Competition – 2022 to be held virtually (Online) by March 26-27, 2022.

General Rules

  • Considering COVID-19 pandemic situations, this year also the Competition shall be held online through video-conferencing on the Cisco Webex Platform.
  • Each team shall comprise of 2 (Two) participants only (Mooter 1 & Mooter 2) and should

About the Organiser

Law College Dehradun, faculty of Uttaranchal University, an institution contributing splendidly to legal education since 2002, invites you to the new edition of its annual mooting affair, the 6th Law College Dehradun National Moot Court Competition at Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

About the Moot

The Constitution of our country is the suprema lex, it is the law to which all laws subscribe and must adhere. Law College Dehradun, faculty of Uttaranchal University National Moot Court Competition is an annually hosted national level moot court competition based on Constitutional Law.

This Competition is considered to be of great repute by the mooting circuits of the country. It is administered by the Moot Court Society of the college. Other than contributing to the field of Constitutional Law, this Competition serves as a channel through which young law students can showcase and hone their advocacy skills.

The first edition of the Competition was won by NUJS, Kolkata; the second by NLU, Jodhpur; the third edition was won by Hidayatullah National Law University; the fourth edition was won by Chanakya National Law University and the fifth edition was won by Christ University.

This year, once again, we welcome participation from the best law schools/colleges/universities of the country, in expectation to chisel out the proficient lawyers and judges of the future.

Dates of the Competition: 7th & 8th May, 2022

Mode of the Competition: The University is determined to organize this competition in Offline mode but in case of any circumstances beyond the control of the University (pandemic) the competition shall be converted into Online/Virtual mode and Rupees 2000/- shall be refunded.

Students of 3/5 year LL.B. degree courses from any institution recognized by B.C.I. and LL.M. students (not enrolled as advocates) are eligible to participate. Provided that only one team may participate per institution.

About the Moot

IILM Law School, Gurugram is delighted to announce the 1st IILM National Moot Court Competition, 2022 that shall allow students to deal with an exceptionally crafted hypothetical case and showcase their argumentative skills.

The event shall be held offline.

Moot Proposition

The moot proposition for the 1st IILM National Moot Court Competition has been crafted with the view of providing a holistic understanding of laws relating to Artificial Intelligence, Constitutional Law and The Indian Penal Code.

Eligibility: Students pursuing an undergraduate degree (3-year LLB program or a 5-year integrated LLB program)

About the Organiser

DES Shri. NavalmalFirodia Law College (DES SNFLC) has the distinct advantage of having a unique heritage of the Deccan Education Society, and we intend to fiercely guard and cherish it.

Eligibility

Students pursuing the 3-year LL.B. course or the 5-year integrated law course from any recognized law school/college/university within India in the academic year 2021- 22 shall be eligible to participate.

Registration and Fees

  • A scanned copy of a duly filled Registration Form must be sent via e-mail to desmcs2019@gmail.com and a hard copy of the same must be posted to the following postal address: DES’s Shri Navalmal Firodia Law College, Gate No. 3, Fergusson College Campus, Fergusson College Road, Pune– 411 004.
  • Only one team is allowed to participate on behalf of any recognised law school/college/university. In the event that more than one team registers on behalf of one law school/college/university, the team which submits a letter from the Dean/Head or the authorised signatory thereof of the concerned institution shall be registered for the competition on behalf of that particular institution.

Registration Fee

Registration fees of Rs. 2500/- (Rupees two thousand five hundred inclusive of GST only) is to be paid by every participating team, by NEFT drawn in favour of “D.E.S’s Navalmal Firodia Law College”, Payable at Pune and the payment shall reach by 23rd March, 2022.

Team Composition

  • Every team shall consist either of three members (two speakers and one researcher) or four members (two speakers and two researchers)
  • Only the speakers shall be allowed to address the judges in their rounds. The researchers may speak only at the discretion of the judges. In any case, it is hereby clarified that Researcher no.2 in no circumstances shall be eligible to address the bench.
  • The above-mentioned registration fee does not include the cost for travelling/food services for such fourth member.

Prizes

The following prizes along with their rewards form part of the competition:

  • Winning Team – Cash Prize of ₹10,000/-, and E-Certificates.
  • Runners-up Team – Cash Prize of ₹ 8,000/-, and E-Certificates.
  • Best Advocate – Cash Prize of ₹ 4,000/-, and E-Certificates.
  • Best Memorial – Cash Prize of ₹ 4,000/-, and E-Certificates.

About KSHAN

KSHAN is a National Level, inter-college moot court competition organized by the student bodies of the Law School under the Raisoni Group of Institutions.

It has been an integral part of our institutes for the past 16 years. They conduct a nationally known Trial and Appellate Moot Court on Criminal Law. This year’s edition of KSHAN is also Trial and Appellate
Moot Court.

About the Moot

The 17th National Appellate Moot Court Competition – 2022 is being organized by students of G.H. Raisoni Law College, Nagpur.

The college is affiliated with the Rashtrasanta Tukdoji Maharaj University, Nagpur (RTMNU). The aim is to familiarize law students with trial as well as appellate court proceedings.

Applications for provisional registration for the 17th National Moot Court Competition, 2022 by G.H. Raisoni Law College are now open.

Provision Registration

The details of the provisional registration process are mentioned below:

  • All teams will register via email. We accept 24 Teams on a first come first basis, which would be finalized only after completion of all procedures and formalities by the teams.
  • The teams may commence provisionally registering themselves as per the procedure. The email ID to be used for contacting is: mca@ghrlawschool.raisoni.net

Mode and Venue

The event shall be conducted on a Virtual Platform, the details of which shall be conveyed soon. 

The Proposition for the same will be released soon and it will be on the ‘Criminal Law’

Eligibility

The competition shall be open for all bonafide students who are pursuing a 5-year integrated law program or 3-year L.L.B program from an institute/ university in India. Such institutions must be recognized by the Bar Council of India.

The teams/institutions can register provisionally by sending official mail to the email id

Please Note

  • The registration will be deemed to be confirmed only after the filling of the registration  form & payment of registration fees. 
  • Further details will be posted on the website and shall be notified from time to time.
  • The number of the Participating teams shall be limited to 24. 
  • The preference to teams shall be given in order of their registration after the  confirmation of payment made while making the final registration. 
  • The organizing committee will have the sole and absolute discretion to shortlist the  Participants if need arise.  
  • The decision of the organizing committee will be final and binding on all concerned.
