RULES

• Each team should consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 members. This number cannot be modified under any circumstances.
• There shall be 2 speakers and 1 researcher designated for each team. The researcher shall be allowed to argue with the prior permission of the court and National Administrator in case of illness of the designated speakers.
• Each team will be provided a team code prior to the submission of memorials via e-mail/WhatsApp.
• This team code is only for the memorials. Teams should not disclose the identity of their institution in their memorials; such disclosure shall invite penalties including disqualification.

REGISTRATION DETAILS

• The teams must register online by September 30, 2022
• The registration shall be done by filling up the registration form available at the end of this post. 
• The registration shall be considered complete only when the ‘Registration Fee’ has been paid successfully and the registration form is duly filled with all the credentials.
• The participants will receive an official approval mail from organising committee carrying the ‘Team Code’ within a week of registration or earlier. The teams shall quote this team code in all further communications with the organizing committee.
• The registration fee for the competition is 1000.00 (One Thousand) INR. (Payment details have been given in the Brochure)

NALSAR is hosting the 15th edition of the NALSAR – Justice B.R. Sawhny Memorial Moot Court Competition, 2022, in collaboration with the Bodh Raj Sawhny Memorial Trust.

ABOUT

NALSAR has previously organized several premier moot court competitions and has witnessed the participation of the brightest brains in law schools around the country. In keeping with this tradition, the university is organizing the 15th edition of the NALSAR-Justice B.R. Sawhny Memorial Moot Court Competition in collaboration with the Justice Bodh Raj Sawhny Memorial Trust.

In the last edition, we hosted Hon’ble Justice (Retd.) K.G. Balakrishnan, former Chief Justice of India is our chief guest for the Valedictory Ceremony, and Mr. Vivek K. Tankha, Sr. Advocate Supreme Court of India and Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha is our Opening Ceremony, Chief Guest.

ELIGIBILITY

• The moot is open to all the students currently enrolled in LLB undergraduate degree courses (3 years/ 5 years).
• An institution can send an official team(s) representing the institution. (Registration of institution)
• No more than one team may represent an institution.
• A team is not permitted to have members from more than one institution.
