NLUO’s Centre for Corporate Law (CCL) is inviting well-researched submissions for its blog by way of a Call for Blogs, on a rolling basis.

ABOUT

The CCL Blog is a two-tier peer-reviewed blog affiliated with the Centre for Corporate Law, National Law University Odisha. The blog aims to further the goal of increasing the quality of knowledge on nuanced areas of corporate law and increase engagement and discussions on the present-day issues of contention.

THEME

Submissions can be made within the ambit of ‘Corporate or Commercial Laws’. For the convenience of the authors, they include inter alia:

  • Banking and Finance Laws
  • Commercial Arbitration
  • Company Law
  • Competition/Antitrust Laws
  • Insolvency and Bankruptcy
  • Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Securities and Capital Markets
  • Tax Laws

ELIGIBILITY

The CCL Blog invites blogs from students, practitioners, researchers, academicians, policymakers, and other stakeholders in the legal field.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  1. Submissions should be the original work of the contributor and should not have been published or sent for publication elsewhere.
  2. Co-authorship is permitted for up to 2 authors.
  3. Citations may be included either by adding footnotes (OSCOLA) or hyperlinking the reliable internet source in the main text itself.
  4. Authors are advised to keep their articles concise and precise to enhance the effectiveness of their posts. The word limit should ideally range from 1200 – 1500 words (excluding footnotes).
  5. The maximum permissible plagiarism is 20%.
  6. All submissions for the CCL Blog must be made via the Google Form linked at the end of the post. Any submission made via other platforms would be rejected.

Kerala Law Academy is conducting its 22nd National Client Consulting Competition 2022 virtually, scheduled to be held from November 10 to 12, 2022.

ABOUT

The Kerala Law Academy Law College (KLA), established in 1966 is a Centre for legal studies, legal research, and law reforms. Its acclaimed peer-reviewed Research Journal has been published continuously since 1977.

ELIGIBILITY

Students pursuing 3 years /5-year LLB course, in Law Colleges/Law schools/Law Universities/ Departments of Law in India recognized by the Bar Council of India.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

  • Provisional Registration: All the interested teams for the competition are requested to duly fill out the google form for the purpose of provisional registration.
  • Final Registration: The selected teams will get a confirmation email from us, after which the final registration should be completed by the team on or before October 30, 2022, after complying with the formalities in Clause (2) of the Regulations of the competition, by submitting the duly filled Proforma provided in the Kerala Law Academy website.

  • Winners: The Justice P. Govinda Menon Memorial Ever Rolling Trophy, other prizes, and a cash prize of Rs 50,000 (Rupees Fifty Thousand only).

ABOUT

Journal of National Law University Delhi is the flagship journal of National Law University Delhi. The journal seeks to provide a platform for engaging in multi-disciplinary and critical legal discussions on themes of law, society, and justice.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Articles are typically of around 6000-8000 words including footnotes.
  • Notes and Comments are short pieces (of less than 5000 words). These have a narrower scope of inquiry than articles and may include analysis of recent case laws, legislation or policy.
  • Book reviews are generally around 2500 words.
  • Successful submissions to this category will critically analyze the ideas and themes explored in the book instead of merely providing a summary of its main arguments.
  • Journal of National Law University Delhi adheres to the OSCOLA citation style. Authors are requested to follow the same.
  • Please submit your manuscript in MS Word document format only.
  • Relevant details of the author and their affiliation would be captured only through the Google Form.
  • The submission, therefore, should not contain any reference to the identity of the author in order to enable anonymous screening and peer review.
  • Each submission (except Book Review) should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 300 words and 5 Keywords.
  • Only original and unpublished work must be submitted for consideration for JNLUD.
  • Author(s) must take particular care that their work does not infringe on the rights of third parties and that they have obtained necessary permissions for cited work.
  • All submissions would be scrutinized for plagiarism. Plagiarized works would be rejected.
  • JNLUD is currently unable to accept submissions from students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies. In such instances, it invites students to make their submissions to the NLUD Journal of Legal Studies.
  • However, submissions from research scholars including doctoral scholars would be considered.
  • JNLUD adheres to the Open Access Policy. This means that all articles published in the Journal would be made available on the Journal’s website without any time limit and free of charge.
  • All content published in the Journal is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
  • While all efforts would be made to inform the corresponding author of the progress of the submission through various stages of review, in view of the number of submissions that the journal receives, the individualized response may not be possible in each instance.
