ABOUT ARMY LAW COLLEGE

Army Law College, Pune was established in July 2018 with a noble objective of imparting the quality legal education to the children of our brave, patriotic & selfless Army Personnel. The College is governed and managed by Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), which is nonprofit organisation, registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, since 29 April, 1983. The Army Law College is the second professional college to be established in Pune under AWES, after Army Institute of Technology (AIT).

PARTICIPATION AND ELIGIBILITY:

  • Eligibility Criteria: Students enrolled for a full-time Law Degree Programme [Five-Year Integrated Law Degree Programme (B.A, LL. B/ B.B.A, LL. B/ B. Com, LL. B/ B. Sc, LL. B) or Three-Year LL. B Programme] at the time of the competition are eligible to participate in the Competition.
  • Each Law College/Law School/Law University shall nominate Only One Team.
  • Team Composition: A team shall be comprised of Three Members only: Two Speakers and One Researcher.
  • Official Language: The official language of the Competition shall be English only.
  • Dress Code: The teams are required to follow a strict dress code as prescribed by themBar Council of India for Advocates.
  • Number of Participating Teams: Maximum Thirty-two (32) teams shall be allowed to participate in the Competition, on the basis of first come-first serve basis.
  • In case of odd number of teams, the organising committee shall nominate one nonparticipating dummy team

Registration:

  • Provisional Registration: The participating students shall send scanned copy of the duly filled Registration Form (See Appendix I for the format) along with signature and seal of the Principal/Director/Dean/Vice Chancellor of the concerned Law College/School/University to academics.alcpune@gmail.com on or before 17th November 2021.
  • The email shall be sent with Subject marked as “Provisional Registration for ALC Pune Online National Moot Court Competition (Organized by Army Law College, Pune)”.
  • Only first 32 Registration Forms shall be accepted for the final participation and the confirmation email shall be sent to the 32 selected teams on 18th November 2021.
  • After receiving the confirmation email on 18th November 2021, the selected teams shall be required to pay the Registration Fee of INR 1,000/- through NEFT only on or before 25th November 2021.

  • Waiting List: If any team from selected teams withdraws or does not confirm the registration within given time line then the next team will be called from waiting list maintained by Organisers.
  • No change in the names of the participants shall be permitted after the receipt of the
  • Registration Form, except at the sole discretion of the Organisers
  • All teams shall be assigned a ‘‘Team Code’’ by the Organisers on validation of their Registration Form and receipt of online payment of registration fees. Thereafter the teams shall use their designated “Team Code” for all correspondence with the Organisers.
  • The same team code must be used by the teams during the submission of Memorials and during all the Rounds of the Competition.
  • Rounds: The competition will comprise of four rounds in total including:
    • Preliminary Rounds: In the Preliminary Rounds, each team will present arguments for both sides.
    • Quarter-final Rounds: Eight teams which qualify in Preliminary Rounds will proceed to the Quarter-final Rounds.
    • Semi-Final Rounds: Four teams which qualify in the Quarter-final Rounds will proceed to the Semi-Final Rounds.
    • Final Round: Two teams shall which qualify in the Semi-final Rounds will proceed to the Final Round.

About Journal

The International Journal for Legal Research and Analysis (IJLRA, ISBN Book: 978-81-948082-7-5) is an open-access, peer-reviewed, and refereed publication dedicated to expressing opinions on current legal topics and generating a cross-current of ideas on new issues.

ELIGIBILITY

The Journal invites submissions from students, academicians, lawyers, judges and other esteemed members of the legal fraternity.

Submission Guidelines

The authors are requested to adhere to the following format:

  • The article must be sent on an A4-sized piece of paper.
  • The authors’ names and titles should be listed at the top right corner of page one, just below the paper’s title. The article’s word count should be between 3000 and 4000 words.
  • The submission must be in MS Word format and must not be sent in any other format.
  • The typeface should be Times New Roman, font size 12, and 1.5 spacing. The footnotes should be typed in Times New Roman, size 10 font.
  • Endnotes should not be utilised.
  • Mode of Citation: It is agreed upon that citations should be made in a consistent manner.
  • Plagiarism will be checked on all articles submitted. The authors are required to give full credit to the sources they used.
  • A maximum of two authors will be allowed to collaborate.

About the conference

In an effort to disseminate legal knowledge and research, The Centre for Cyber Law and Innovation, The Centre for Corporate Law and Governance & The Centre for Excellence in Alternative Dispute Resolution Law, ICFAI Law School, Dehradun presents National Virtual Conference to give a platform to budding lawyers to express their views on the integral legal issues. Rules and Guidelines

  • Law Students, professionals, academicians Pan India are eligible to participate.
  • Co-authorship to a maximum of two authors is permitted (1 main author + 2 co- author).
  • Only one submission shall be allowed per author, and in case of co-authors, one submission shall be deemed to include both. Separate submissions of co-authors shall be taken as multiple submissions, which will be subject to rejection and disqualification.
  • The registration is restricted to only 70 participants, which will be strictly on “First Come First Serve basis”.

Guidelines

  • The Paper shall be in English.

Practitioners, professors, journalists, students of all disciplines, and anybody who likes to express an opinion are encouraged to contribute their writings.

Submission Guidelines

  • Submissions shall be typewritten in MS Word, Times New Roman font size 12 with line spacing 1.5 and justified alignment. 
  • Co-authorship up to two authors is allowed. 
  • Submissions shall not be less than 700 words and shall not exceed 1000 (exclusive of endnotes).  
  • Submissions shall contain hyperlinks in the body of the manuscript itself, instead of footnotes and endnotes. Endnotes may be used for references where hyperlinks are not possible, or the source is under a paywall or offline – such as books, articles, etc. 
  • The authors should conform to the Bluebook (20th edition) Uniform System of Citation. Endnotes shall be typewritten in, Times New Roman, font size 10, single-line spacing, and justified alignment. 
  • The manuscript should not contain any identification of the author/s, which shall be a ground for rejection of the submission. 
  • The submission must be the original work of the authors. Plagiarism beyond 10% shall not be accepted. 
  • Manuscripts shall be assessed by subjection to Blind Review Procedure. 
  • Submissions shall be lucid, contemporarily relevant, and well-researched. They shall contain a novel analysis of the issue by the author(s).  
  • Authors will be informed regarding acceptance or rejection of their manuscripts within 10 to 15 days and an acknowledgement receipt will be sent within 48 hours of submission of the manuscript. 
  • The authors are required to fill the registration form and upload the article in the below-mentioned link. 
  • Alliance School of Law shall not charge any publication fee. 
  • The contributions towards the Alliance School of Law, GAIR E-Newsletter shall be published on the university’s official website.

About NUALS Intellectual Property Law Review

The NUALS Intellectual Property Law Review is a peer-reviewed, double blind and open access Journal, operating under the aegis of the Centre for Intellectual Property Rights (CIPR), NUALS. The journal focuses on contemporary issues that are at the forefront of IP and technology.

About Call for papers

The NUALS Intellectual Property Law Review is now accepting submissions for its fourth Volume. They invite contributions for the Journal from academicians, practitioners of the legal profession, researchers, post-graduates and under-graduate students of law. The Journal, being an exposition of contemporary developments in intellectual property law, encourages authors to explore the latest developments in the field, while also giving readers an insight into overlooked areas of the law. 

Contributions may be in the form of articles, essays, notes, commentaries and reviews. Submissions will be put through an exhaustive review process and published on the official website of the Journal (lawreview.ciprnuals.in), University (nuals.ac.in), as well as CIPR (ciprnuals.in).

  • Articles: 5000- 7000 words
  • Essays: 3000-5000 words

What it’s all about

The St. Gallen Symposium is a two-day conference taking place at the University of St.Gallen (Switzerland) in May. Every year key decision-makers from the fields of economics, politics, science, and society take part in the symposium to meet and exchange with the next generation of leaders. The entire conference is organised by the International Students’ Committee. It’s a Team of 35 students from the University of St.Gallen who pause their studies for 10 months to engage in the realization of a cross-generational dialogue.

About the Essay Competition

The St. Gallen Global Essay Competition is an international student essay competition that invites graduate and postgraduate students from all over the world to apply for a spot at the St. Gallen Symposium.

The Knowledge Pool is a collection of Tomorrow’s Leaders who are passionate about themes relevant to the St. Gallen Symposium. They have proven track records in the fields in which they work or study. The International Students’ Committee selects them by hand. The Knowledge Pool does not accept applications for membership.

Collaborative Advantage: what should be written into a new intergenerational contract?

The idea of a “generational contract” embodies the principles that younger and older generations rely on each other to provide mutual support across different stages of their lives. Inclusive education systems, sustainable welfare states and meaningful environmental action are some of many challenges requiring a cross-generational collaborative effort.

About MCA, SLS Nagpur

Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur constituted Moot Court Association (MCA) to provide practical education to the students of law. Since then MCA has been instrumental in organising various activities and events to promote mooting skills amongst students and has encouraged them to participate in National and International Moot Court Competitions. In pursuance of this goal, SLS, Nagpur is organising second Virtual National Moot Court Competition of the year in collaboration with Maharashtra State Biodiversity Board, Nagpur.

Registration details

  • Students pursuing undergraduate law course (3-year programme/5-year programme) from the institutions all over the country are welcome to submit their registration forms.
  • The teams are requested to send an e-copy of the registration form to mca@slsnagpur.edu.in
  • The link of the registration form is mentioned in the Rules of National Moot Court Competition in rule no. 3.1.1.
  • The teams are requested to remember the important dates and to follow the deadlines meticulously.

  • Registration fee is Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only inclusive of GST), to be paid after the selection of the memorial.

Awards

  • The team that scores the highest in the Final Round shall be declared the “Winners” and shall be awarded a prize and a certificate of merit.
  • The other team that qualifies to the Final Round shall be declared the “Runners up” and shall be awarded a prize and a certificate of merit.
  • Best Speaker shall be determined on the basis of the highest average marks obtained in the preliminary round, and shall be awarded a prize and a certificate of merit.
  • Best Memorial shall be determined on the basis of the highest marks obtained in the memorial round, and shall be awarded a prize and a certificate of merit.
  • Every participating team member shall be awarded ‘Certificate of Participation’.
  • No ‘Certificate of Participation’ shall be granted to those teams who have not qualified the memorial round.
  • Gifts, Prizes given by sponsors, if any, shall be additional to what has been mentioned above.

About the conference

The members of IILM Law School join our nation in celebrating the Samvidhan Diwas also known as Constitution Day on 26th November 2021. To mark this occasion, we are conducting two days International Conference on “Electoral Integrity and the Constitution of India” wherein we engage with various issues relating to constitutional democracy in India and to celebrate this we proudly invites papers from the Academicians, Judicial Officers, Researchers, Professionals, Practitioners, Students of law, commerce and management, and other stakeholders on the emerging issues and related areas on the theme as stated above.

Call for papers and suggested themes

Original papers on the following indicative topics are invited from the prospective presenters to participate in the conference by sending us the title of their papers as well as a short abstract (not exceeding 300 words) at the following email address: iilmlawschool@iilm.edu
The abstract should clearly reflect the primary research question which is to be dealt with in the paper. The submissions are to be made only in MS word format.
