ABOUT

The Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST) established the RV Institute of Legal Studies (RVILS) in the year 2018. RVILS is affiliated with Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi and is approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Students duly enrolled and pursuing full-time 5 years or 3 years of Degree Courses may apply to participate in the competition.
  • Students from any University / Department / Institute recognized by the Bar Council of India, to impart legal education are eligible to participate.

Kerala Law Academy is organizing its 32nd All India Moot Court Competition, 2023 through the virtual mode from February 8 to 11, 2023.

ABOUT

Kerala Law Academy also referred to as the Kerala Law Academy Law College is a self-financing law college in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India.

This is the 32nd Edition of the Annual Moot Court Competition for the Kerala Law Academy Trophy. It is also one of the oldest competitions in the country and it is acclaimed by the academic community as well as by the legal circles as a trendsetter and one of the most prestigious Moot Court Competitions organized in our country.

The competition has grown in prominence over the years and today it occupies a unique place in the National Calendar of Moot Court Competitions.

IIT Bombay in collaboration with the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University, Chandigarh is organizing a Mood Indigo National Moot Court Competition 2022 from December 27 to 30, 2022.

ABOUT

University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) was established as a constituent department of Panjab University, in the academic session 2004-05. During a short span of time, it has emerged as one of the premier legal Institutes with a unique blend of tradition and modernity.

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is a public research university and technical institute in Powai, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

The ‘IIT Bombay’s Mood Indigo National Moot Court Competition in collaboration with UILS, Panjab University’ has been envisaged with the aim of creating opportunities for learning the development of jurisprudence on emerging trends besides developing cutting-edge skills in research, writing, and advocacy. Further, it is aimed at facilitating the evolution of Law through jurisprudential analysis of the existing law and the consequential emergence of new laws.

ELIGIBILITY

The competition is open to all students in college.

REGISTRATION DETAILS

  • Online registrations are opening from 30th November, 2022. The teams must register online by 8th December, 2022. Teams will have to register online here.
  • Only 16 teams will be allowed to participate in the competition on first-come-first serve basis
  • No temporary registration requests will be entertained. Kindly refrain from sending such requests to Mood Indigo IIT Bombay or UILS.
  • Participants will receive an automated system generated acknowledgement on successful submission of registration. Participants will receive an approval as acceptance of their request for participation latest by 9th December, 2022. Following this, the teams will have to complete the subsequent registration process as detailed below.
  • All the sixteen (16) selected teams shall receive an email from the official email account of the Moot Court Competition seeking their final team composition and other relevant details. The teams are required to furnish the necessary details via email latest by 10th December, 2022 by 12:00 p.m.
  • Upon successful registration, the teams shall be allotted their provisional team codes latest by 14th December, 2022.
  • On receiving the provisional team code from Organizers, teams may apply for accommodation here.

ABOUT

The  All India Lawyers Union was formed 39 years ago under the patronage and guidance of Justice V. R. Krishna Iyer, Justice H. R. Khanna, and Justice A.C. Gupta, who were the icons of the Indian judiciary.

Since its formation in 1982, AILU has always remained steadfast in protecting and upholding the democratic rights of the legal fraternity and has also joined hands with the people’s struggle for a brighter tomorrow.

ELIGIBILITY

Participation is strictly restricted to Bonafide undergraduate law students pursuing the three years or five years LL.B. degree program from the Institution/University recognized by the Bar Council of India.

  1. Each team shall register for the competition by filling out an online registration form no later than November 15, 2022. 
  2. The teams shall register through the link given at the end of this post. In case of any difficulties, the form can also be requested from the organisers by any eligible student.

The Bennett University National Moot Court Competition 2023 is being organized by the BUNMCC Organizing Committee, scheduled to be held from February 10 to 12, 2023. on the theme of Criminal Law and Technology. 

ABOUT

Bennett University has been established by the ‘Times Group’ in Noida, India’s largest media conglomerate through Act No. 24 of 2016 passed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

TEAM

  • Oral and written submissions shall be in the English language only.
  • The competition will include two preliminary oral rounds; and, advanced rounds, i.e., Quarter-finals, Semi-Finals, and Finals.
  • There is a limit of 30 teams for the Competition. Teams will be registered on a first come first serve basis.
  • Only regular students enrolled in a five-year integrated undergraduate law program or three-year graduate law program are eligible to register for the competition.
  • Each team shall consist of two speakers and one researcher. Teams are to notify which members are the respective speakers and researchers. No change of speaker to researcher or vice-versa shall be permitted except upon application to the Organizing Committee.
  • The request for change should have concrete reasons and the decision of the Organizing Committee shall be final. If need be, the Organizing Committee holds the right to disqualify a team upon finding the reason for a change to be unjustifiable or unreasonable.

 DETAILS

  • Teams shall register for the competition on or before 23:59 Hours December 10, 2022, by sending an email with the subject ‘Registration for Vth Bennett National Moot Court Competition 2023′ to bnmcc@bennett.edu.inafter completing the online registration form.
  • Soft copies of the memorials must be submitted to bnmcc@bennett.edu.in no later than 23:59 Hours on January 10, 2023, with the subject of the email as “Memorial Submission-(Team Code). The memorial files should be either in .doc, .docx or .pdf formats with the file names as Team code- Party. For e.g.:- BU001-PET or BU001-RES.
  • The registration fee for the competition is Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand Only) per team (Including accommodation on sharing basis and food).

GLS University has been established with the objective of providing an ideal and creative learning environment and continuing the tradition of excellence in the education of the sponsoring body of the University, viz., Gujarat Law Society (GLS) Gujarat Law Society, established in the year 1927, is one of the largest and oldest educational institutions in the State of Gujarat.

DETAILS

In order to confirm participation, teams of every Institution should register themselves with the Registration forms duly signed by the heads of the institution along with the fees of Rs.2500/-per team.

Any team requiring accommodation will have to pay registration fees of Rs. 5000/-. Any form received after the last day of registration will not be allowed.

  • Release of Moot Problem for Shri I.M. Nanavati Memorial National Moot Court Competition, 2022-23: October 3, 2022
  • Last date for Provisional Registration Via email mootcourt@glsuniversity.ac.in: November 1, 2022
  • Last date for Registration of the Institution via e-mail and Google form Link: November 5, 2022
  • Last date for sending Clarifications:  November 15, 2022
  • Last Date for Submission of Memorials (soft copy Word and PDF format) (By uploading memorials on Google Form): January 10, 2023
  • Last Date for Submission of hard copy of the Memorials (2 copies from each side): January 16, 2023
  • Orientation of the Event Researcher’s Test: January 20, 2023
  • Inauguration Preliminary Round Quarterfinal Round Semi-final Round: January 21, 2023
  • Final Round Valedictory Ceremony: January 22, 2023

PRIZES

Total Cash Prize of Rs. 5 Lacs and 46 Thousand divided as follows:

  • Winning Team: Cash Prize of 2,25,000 along with Trophy and E-Certificate
  • Trophy and E-Certificate to the First Runners Up Team: Cash Prize of 1,50,000 along with Trophy and E-Certificate
  • Trophy and E-Certificate to Best Advocate (Petitioner & Respondent): Cash Prize of 50,000 along with Trophy and E-Certificate
  • Trophy and E-Certificate to Best Memorial (Petitioner & Respondent): Cash Prize of 25,000 along with Trophy and E-Certificate
  • Trophy and E-Certificate to Best Researcher: Cash Prize of 21,000 along with Trophy and E-Certificate
