ABOUT
The School of Agricultural Law and Economics encompasses the study of the law which focuses on the special rules and exceptions made for agriculture. It basically aims at focusing on how agricultural laws can be used to serve the diverse and competent interests of the agricultural society.
STRUCTURE
PRELIMINARY ROUND
4+1 minutes to speak. Timings will be displayed on the screen twice, once after 1 minute and second after another 3 minutes. Rebuttal: 1 minute to each participant
SEMI-FINALS AND FINALS
1 vs 1 format (Lincoln-Douglas Format) The Lincoln-Douglas debate is dedicated to questions that are of a deep moral or philosophical nature. The debate format for a Lincoln-Douglas debate is one-on one. Affirmative Constructive – 6 minutes, Cross-Examination by negative – 3 minutes, Negative Constructive – 6 minutes, Cross-Examination by positive – 3 minutes, First Affirmative Rebuttal – 4 minutes, Negative Rebuttal – 4 minutes, Total Speaking time for each Speaker- 13minutes, Preparation time: 30 Minutes
GUIDELINES
The debate will be conducted through a virtual format on Cisco WebEX.
A New Motion will be Provided 30 minutes before each Oral round.
The participants will be informed about their stand, i.e., either “For the Motion” or “Against the Motion”, 30 minutes before starting that particular round, through the WhatsApp group.
The participant must maintain professional decorum at all times throughout the competition. The use of abusive or profane language will immediately disqualify the participant.
Individual scores of each round will be released after the completion of the respective round.
Each participant will be allotted a unique code for further reference and communication. The participant will be required to use that code only. In case any participant is found disclosing his/her identity, he or she will be immediately disqualified from the competition.
The decision of the judges invited for evaluation will be final and binding.
ELIGIBILITY
This competition is open to all bona fide undergraduate and postgraduate students from colleges/universities across India. There is no restriction on the number of participants from a particular college. The registration fee for the debate is INR 295/- (including GST).

ABOUT
LexConcilio is a Modern Indian Parliamentary Style Debate Competition on November 12, 2022. It is a holistic parliamentary environment set up for students to understand “The Law Making Process” and debate on the current issues faced by our country.
ELIGIBILITY
Students who are pursuing Degree/Postgraduate courses from any stream are eligible to participate.
GENERAL RULES
The event will be held offline on Saturday, November 12, 2022.
Participants are required to be present physically on the day of the event.
Reporting time for the event is 08.30 a.m. sharp.
The College with the maximum number of participants will have the option of forming the government.
A coalition government will be formed by the Constitution Club of KC Law College from the Colleges with the highest registration.
In the event that a College does not want to be a part of the
Coalition Government, they will be made the opposition party.
Each College has to pick one Team Leader. The team leader would have to submit the list of parliamentarians (participants) who will speak in the Session. The said list is to be submitted during the team leader meeting.
Only the selected parliamentarians whose list is submitted to the organizer will be allowed to speak and will be awarded points by the judges.
However, during the Zero Hour and the Question Hour, any and every participant can participate.
TWO days after the registration is closed, i.e. on November 27, 2022, a meeting will be called with all the Team Leaders to brief them about the rules and format of the event.
The organizers reserve the right to amend the rules at any point in time.

The Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee is organizing a Mediation-Negotiation Competition which is a great opportunity for law students to discover skills of dispute resolution outside court.
Guidelines for Mediation-Negotiation

In a Negotiation Session, each Participating Team will be represented by no more than two eligible students with one taking the role of “Attorney” and the other taking the role of “Client”, and vice versa for the second preliminary round.

The topics and issues chosen for various debates and discussions are selected, keeping in mind, the need of a law student to be in touch with relevant social issues.
About the Event
Debate is a method of formally presenting an argument in a disciplined manner. Logical consistency, factual accuracy and some degree of emotional appeal to the audience are elements in debating, where one side often prevails over the other party by presenting a superior “context” and/or framework of the issue. The outcome of a debate may depend upon consensus or some formal way of reaching a resolution, rather than the objective facts.
The Concurs De Debate is a National Level Conventional Debate organized by Aarambh the Debating Society, to effectively broaden the scope of orating skills among all the participants.
Rules of the Debate
The topic for the debate is-“THBT student migration is a failure of education system in India. इस सदन का मानना है कि छात्रों का प्रवास भारत की शिक्षा प्रणाली की विफलता है।
The debate shall be bilingual, either exclusively in English or exclusively in Hindi.
The speakers shall not disclose their identities and shall only represent themselves by the team codes allotted to them.
Each team shall be called by their team code and they are required to leave the podium together after their respective speeches.
The speakers shall come to the podium as a team where one shall speak in the favour of the motion and the other shall speak against the motion.
Each speaker shall be allotted a total time limit of 5 mins i.e (4+1) where the last minute shall be given to conclude the topic.
The completion of the time limit of fourth min shall be indicated as single bell and the final bell to conclude the topic at the last 5th minute shall be indicated as a double bell.
After the speech is made, the particular speaker shall be open to the floor for rebuttal. Only a participant from another team can ask a rebuttal.
The answer to the rebuttal shall not exceed 1 minute.
Only one rebuttal will be permitted per participant.
No speaker shall be allowed to carry any piece of paper or gadget to the podium, a violation of which shall result in disqualification. The decision of the jury shall be final.
Violation of any rule may cause disqualification of the whole team with the discretion of the jury.
Eligibility
Participant must be a bona fide student of the concerned university or college and must furnish a communiqué along with a proof of identity issued by the competent authority of the institution.
Team :
Each College/ University may send maximum two teams comprising of two individual each. Team participation shall mandatorily be in English and Hindi i.e., One team in English and the other in Hindi.
However if the College/University is unable to arrange such bilingual teams, then it may send only one team in any one of the languages.
Procedure of Registration
The participants must register through a single registration form.
Registration Fee:
A team of two members speaking in Hindi along with a team of two members speaking in English will fill a single form providing details of all the four candidates of the two teams by paying a fee of INR 800 for two teams.
In case, where only one team is registering from an institution, the form shall be filled by the two candidates of the same team after paying a registration fee of INR 500for one team.
After paying the registrations fee, the participants are required to upload the screen shot of the payment in the registration form. Upon successful registration, a confirmation E-mail shall be sent to the participants.

About the Asian Parliamentary Competition
The organizing committee Samvaad, a student-governed committee, was established with intrinsic value of the Ancient Indian Philosophy of Vadashastra- वा देवा देजा यतेतत्वबो ध: meaning “Truth is discovered and assimilated or realized by debates and discussions,” in 2020.
Samvaad aims to facilitate an inclusive and accessible platform for the new generation of aspiring lawyers by encouraging them to think wisely, talk valiantly, and debate logically; with such values and determination, the committee is organizing its First Edition of National Parliamentary Debate-Asian Style.
The debate rounds would be held in four stages two (2) Preliminary rounds, followed by Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and The Grand Finale.
Format of Debate
Each debating match will consist of two teams; one to propose the motion and one to oppose it. The the team proposing may be known as ‘The Proposition,’ ‘The Affirmative,’ or ‘The Government.’
The team opposing may be known as ‘The Opposition’ or ‘The Negative’. Teams will be designated as the Proposition or the Opposition for each round of the competition.
