The first page of the manuscript should contain the name of the paper, the name of the authors followed by an abstract.
The second page should commence with the main body of the manuscript.
Texts and footnotes should conform to the Bluebook 20th Edition.

About International Dispute Resolution Competition
Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the prestigious 7th Edition of Lex Infinitum (VMSCL-AIDR) will be held in an online mode from 23rs to 27th February 2022, where a maximum of both 36 Negotiating Teams and 18 Mediators from around the world will be selected to compete.

Concept Note on writ petition drafting
The Constitutional Law Studies and Orientation Committee, in the celebration of National Constitution Day, 2021, introduces the 1st National Writ Petition Drafting Competition. The competition aims at spreading awareness among students of law regarding the effective use of Constitutional tools for securing human and living rights particularly through the drafting of Writ Petition. It aims at enhancing the legal skills amongst students by simulating a real life case requiring participants to analyse and formulate a true-to-life draft of an appropriate Writ Petition.
Eligibility
All participants must be students of LL.B. / B.L. and may be either from three years or five years course.
Participants may take part either individually or in groups of two per entry, i.e. each entry may consist of either 1 or 2 participants.
Rules and regulations
There shall be no entry fees for the competition.
The Proposition seeks to simulate a real life situation of a client submitting her case to her counsel along with supporting documents seeking to file an appropriate Writ at the appropriate Court of Law within India.
The participants are to rely on the various annexures given in the Proposition to discern the crux of the facts and legal issues involved.

Essays and long articles must include an abstract of not more than 350 words.
Title: Title of your manuscripts should be concise, with a maximum of 70 characters.
Keywords: The author can give up to 10 keywords for the ease of reference to the reader.
This will further boost the search engine optimisation (SEO) of your article.
Biography: A brief biographical note, including both the current affiliation as well as the email address of the author(s), should be provided in the first footnote of the manuscript.
Submissions should be original and unpublished work of the author(s). Additionally, the submission should not be under consideration anywhere else.
Language: Only articles in English will be considered for publication. Manuscripts should be written in standard English while using ‘ise’ and ‘isation’ instead of ‘ize’ and ‘ization’. The preferred reference source is the Oxford English Dictionary. However, in the case of quotations, the original spelling should be maintained.
Heading: Heading levels must be clearly indicated.
Tables: The tables and illustrations must be self-explanatory and their content should not be repeated in the text. Refrain from tabulation unnecessarily. They must be numbered and must be included in concise titles
Figures and Illustrations: These should be submitted as separate files along with the manuscript, and it is very important that they are high quality: .tif or .jpg files with a resolution of at least 600 dpi.
GSLR follows a strict policy against plagiarism. Any form of plagiarism will result in an automatic rejection. Moreover, if the Turnitin similarity index reports over 20% similarity (after making the relevant exclusions such as bibliography, quotes, small matches etc.), then the submission shall be rejected.

Communication of Acceptance
The provisional decision of acceptance will be communicated latest by 15th January, 2022. Final acceptance is conditional on the authors making all requisite changes in a timely manner.
Copyright and Exclusivity
Upon acceptance of the manuscript for publication by the editorial board, the copyright over the manuscript shall vest in the Journal. However, the moral rights over the manuscript shall vest in the author(s). The Journal only publishes exclusive content. Once a manuscript is accepted, the same cannot be published elsewhere.

Rules of the Competition:
The medium of debate is strictly English.
The participant must maintain the professional decorum at all times throughout the competition.
Each speaker shall keep their cameras and mics on throughout the round, especially when he/she is speaking (including the rebuttals). Further, each participant, once have joined the link, shall keep their cameras on throughout the round.
Each speaker shall be given a time of 3 minutes for speaking for/against the motion and 1 minutes for rebuttal. Further, 2 marks shall be deducted for each minute a speaker exceeds the above mentioned time limits.
The Organising team may take appropriate action against any participant involved in the act of use of any electronic devices (other than the device used for joining the link of the competition) during the competition.
Use of abusive or profane language will immediately disqualify the participant.Individual scores of each round will be released after completion of the respective round.
Each participant will be allotted a unique code for further reference and communication. The participant will be required to use that code only. In case any participant is found disclosing his/her identity, he or she will be immediately disqualified from the competition.
