New risks and threats in cyberspace are real, making cyber security necessary. We, as individuals as well as societies, cannot go unprotected. Cyber security is not simply a clear-cut technical issue. It is a strategic, political, and social phenomenon with all the accompanying messy nuances. Therefore, cyber reality must be examined with scientific rigour by all disciplines, enabling an informed public debate.
It is both, morally essential and rationally effective for the responses to be formulated through a democratic process. The objective of the Seminar is to discuss and deliberate on this major issue and to understand aspects and dynamics of the same. A Book containing the selected Papers shall also be published.
The outcome of the Seminar would facilitate the organizers, participants and other stakeholders to make legislative and policy interventions to bring about positive social and legal transformation. Eligibility and Word Limit
Co-Authorship: The manuscript may be co-authored by a maximum of two authors.
The Journal accepts the following kinds of submissions:
Articles: 5,000 to 10,000 words.
Short notes: 2,500 to 5,000 words.

These word counts are exclusive of footnotes. The Editorial Board reserves the right to increase or relax the word limit, depending on the quality of the submission.
Submission Guidelines
The mail bearing the manuscript must declare, in its body, the category for which the submission is made for, i.e. article/short notes/case comment.
The body of the manuscript should be in Times New Roman, font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing. The footnotes should be in Times New Roman, font size 10 with single line spacing.
The manuscripts should be properly footnoted wherever sources are being used. The use of endnotes, hyperlinks, etc. is strictly prohibited. Further, no speaking footnotes (descriptive footnotes) are allowed.
All the sources in the footnotes must conform to the Oxford University Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA) 4th ed. style of citation.
The manuscripts must be preceded by an abstract of not more than 250 words.
The manuscript must not contain any reference to the author’s name, affiliation or credentials.
All manuscripts must be accompanied by a cover letter with the name(s) of the author(s), institution/affiliation, the title of the manuscript, and contact details. The author must also confirm in the cover letter that the manuscript is not being considered for publication elsewhere.
The manuscript must be an original and unpublished work.
If necessary, ICLR may request the author to provide a printed copy of the manuscript, in addition to the electronic copy.
Formatting Guidelines

The ICLR follows three stages of blind peer-review procedure and shall endeavor to keep the authors informed about the status of their manuscript as it goes through each stage of review.
ICLR retains complete discretion over acceptance/rejection of manuscripts. The Editorial Board of ICLR shall not entertain requests for advance decisions based on abstracts, topic proposals or outlines. The Review seeks to provide a platform for engaging in multi-disciplinary discussions on themes of law, society, and justice. Research Articles should have proper research questions and should also reflect the findings. The submission can be sent under the following categories:

Guidelines for Submissions
Submissions should be in Times New Roman, 12 font size with 1.5 line spacing, justified text and 1-inch margins on all sides of an A4 sheet. The page number should be center-aligned at the bottom of each page.

Graphics, Charts, Tables, and Diagrams should be numbered consecutively and included in the body of the work. Submission must be compatible with Microsoft Word.
All the submissions must be emailed at vips.studentlawreview@gmail.com along with a cover page with the title of the research paper, Name of the author and Designation of the author. The research paper should not contain any reference to the identity of the author in order to enable anonymous screening and peer review.
Each submission should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 300 words.
The submission must be the original work of the authors. Any manuscript above 15% plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
Submitted entries must not have been sent for consideration at any other place for presentation or publication. A declaration to the same effect must accompany each submission.
Co-authorship is allowed. Maximum number of Co-authors for a submission shall be restricted to 2 (two).
Multiple submissions by the same author(s) are not allowed.

Concept Note of the Event
The United Nation Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in Paris on 10th December 1948 set the common standard of achieving fundamental human rights, inclusive of all people and nations.
The preamble and the articles of UDHR recognise and articulate the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family and worth of the human person and in the equal rights of men and women in society.
Agenda 5 of The Sustainable Development Goals 2030 (SDG) targets “Gender Equality” not only as a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world. Despite the introduction of women supportive laws in some countries, discriminatory laws and social norms remain pervasive, women continue to be under-represented at all levels of political leadership, and 1 in 5 women and girls between the ages of 15 and 49 report experiencing physical or sexual violence by an intimate partner within 12 months. Yet, 49 countries have no laws that specifically protect women from such violence.
Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), encompassing “Domestic Abuse” can take a number of forms, including physical, verbal, emotional, economic and sexual abuse that transcends socioeconomic, religious and cultural groups and spans from online trolling to domestic violence. IPV is typically manifested as a pattern of abusive behaviour toward an intimate partner in a dating or family relationship, where the abuser exerts power and control over the victim. Incidents are rarely isolated, and usually escalate in frequency and severity. Domestic abuse may culminate in serious physical injury or death. The overwhelming global burden of IPV is borne by women.
World Health Organisation (‘WHO”) has also taken cognisance of the fact that Intimate Partner Violence is one of the most common forms of violence against women and includes physical, sexual, and emotional abuse and controlling behaviours by an intimate partner.
It is imperative that in the lens of Law, IPV including Domestic Abuse to be considered beyond a conventional ‘marital argument’ or a ‘private matter, best left to the couple to resolve between themselves and their families. Laws specifically need to address the intricate intertwined issues within the expansive contours of IPV and provide a viable legal and enforceable platform to Women seeking justice against IPV.

NCU Law Review is a peer-reviewed biannual academic publication of the Centre of Post-Graduate Legal Studies (CPGLS) at School of Law (SoL), The NorthCap University (NCU), Gurugram (formerly ITM University, Gurgaon).
This publication is an endeavor to serve as a forum for the promotion and circulation of views on contemporary legal issues among members of the legal profession, academicians, and students. The Law Review aims at legal research centers, policymakers, and government organizations.

Call for Papers
The NCU Law Review is inviting submissions for its Volume 2, Issue 2 (2022), ISSN: 2581-7124 by way of a Call for Papers.
Review Policy
NCU Law Review believes in the encouragement of critical analysis and the interdisciplinary study of law. Submissions that view the subject matter from a comparative perspective shall be preferred. Therefore, the scholastic quality of the manuscript shall be the primary criterion for publication.
The same shall be judged by anonymous peer review of the manuscript. However, the final discretion as to the acceptance of the manuscripts rests with the Editorial Board.
Publication Policy
NCU Law Review publishes original material. Therefore, manuscripts must neither be under consideration for publication in any other place at any time during the period of consideration by the Journal nor previously published. The Law Review also has a strict policy on plagiarism. Plagiarism shall render the manuscript liable for rejection.
Submission Categories
Contributions for the Law Review are solicited under the following heads:
Articles: An article is expected to include a comprehensive review of the existing law in a particular area of study, and is conservative in both choice and analysis of subject. The subject matter is expected to be dealt with in a detailed and thorough manner.
Essays: Essays are usually more adventurous, challenging existing paradigms and innovatively addressing well-known problems. It is not necessary for an essay to be as comprehensive as an article and it is strongly recommended that essays be considerably more concise, in terms of scope and conceptualization.
Case Comments: A study of any contemporary judicial pronouncement (Indian or foreign) and must contain its analysis, the context in which the particular judgment has been delivered, its contribution to existing law and must necessarily comment on the judicial process involved.
Legislative Comments: This entails a critical analysis of any existing Indian legislation or proposed bills, and their constitutional implications. The analysis is expected to be original and technical in nature.
Submission Guidelines
Word Limit: The word limit for articles and essays is between 7,000 to 8,000 words (inclusive of footnotes), while case/legislative comments must be confined to less than 3,000 words.
Citation Format: The citation format to be used is THE BLUEBOOK: A UNIFORM METHOD OF CITATION (Columbia Law Review Ass’n et al. eds., 20th ed.). Speaking footnotes are generally discouraged.
Abstract: Every submission must be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 100 words, which outlines the area of study and any important conclusions that may be drawn by the author(s).
Covering Letter: All personal details, including name, year, name of college/university, postal address, phone number and e-mail id, must be provided in a separate letter or file, and must not be mentioned in the document or file containing the submission.

Theme – Uniform Civil Code
Despite various developments in law and rapid growth in India, our civil code continues to be diversified, spanning different religions. In India, there are different sets of law for divorce, succession of property etc., which are applicable on individuals based on their religion.
At this point of time, it becomes important to discuss the need of having a Uniform Civil Code which unites all communities while contemplating its legality and constitutionality.

Important Policy
The submission must be original unpublished work of the Author(s) and it should not be simultaneously considered at any other place.
Upon submission, the manuscript shall be the property of DSNLJ for any subsequent publication/reprint/derivative work.
DSNLJ reserves the right to reject entries which do not conform to the Guidelines for Submission.
The Author(s) shall be presumed to have obtained the necessary permission from cited authors in case a cited work is unpublished.
Selected papers will be published with an ISSN number.
DSNLJ reserves absolute right to cancel, differ, or postpone the publication in the event of the accruing of any incident, natural or man-made.
In case of any dispute, the decision of the DSNLJ shall be final and binding.
The Editorial Board shall not be responsible for any material that is libelous or scandalous.
The Editorial Board may review the accuracy of the citation but the responsibility rests with the Author(s).
Submission Guidelines
Co-authorship is permissible upto a maximum of two Authors.
The submissions are to be made only in Microsoft Word Format (.docx or .doc files) by sending an email to dsnlj@dsnlu.ac.in
E-mail must be sent with subject: ‘Submission for Call of Papers – DSNLJ’
Abstract must be e-mailed by February 18, 2022 with a maximum of 400 words.
The Author(s) shall not disclose their identity anywhere in the body of the manuscript.
The submission shall contain a separate cover letter in the first page of the document enumerating the following details:
Name of the Author(s);
Address of the Author(s);
Phone Numbers of the Author(s);
Title of the manuscript;
Submission Category;
Name of the institution/Organization;

Formatting Guidelines
The body of the paper should be justified in Times New Roman, font size 12 with 1.5 spacing.
Footnotes should also be in Times New Roman, 10 font size, and single spacing.
Strictly conform to Bluebook (20th ed.) as the citation format.
Any form of Plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification for publication.
