SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • The RSRR invites papers under the following categories:
    • Articles (5,000 to 10,000 words) 
    • Short Notes (3,500 to 5,000 words) 
    • Case Comments (2,000 to 4,000 words) 
    • Legislative Comments (2,500 to 4,000 words) 
    • Normative Law Articles (3,000 to 5,000 words)
  • All submissions must be in Garamond, font size 12, spacing 1.5. 
  • All footnotes shall be in Garamond 10, single-spaced, and should conform to the Oxford University Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA) mode of citation.
  • Margins: Left 1 Inch and Right 1 Inch, Top 1 Inch and Bottom 1 Inch (A4). 
  • The word limit is exclusive of all the footnotes.
  • Co-authorship is allowed for up to 2 authors.   
  • All submissions must include an abstract of a maximum of 250 words.
  • All submissions must be accompanied by a cover letter in a separate document stating the details of the author(s).
  • All entries should be submitted in .doc/ . docx format only. 
  • The author(s) bear sole responsibility for the accuracy of facts, opinions or views stated in the submitted paper. In case of any plagiarism found in the contents of the submitted paper, the Manuscript shall be subject to rejection.
  • The abstracts and the papers must be mailed to submissionsrslr@rgnul.ac.in, with the subject “Submission for Volume 9, Issue 1 – Type of Submission (Article/ Short Note/ Case Comment/ Normative Law Articles)”. 
  • The submissions of abstracts and papers should accompany a cover letter specifying the author’s name, designation, institute, contact number, and email for future reference in the mail body itself.

ABOUT

The Consumer Protection Act of 1986 was enacted to protect the rights of the consumers but over the years it was observed that the Act did not address the disputes regarding consumer contracts entered between consumers and product manufacturers or service providers, product liability and the e-commerce sector.

To overcome the lacunae in the Act of 1986, the Parliament enacted the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 which aims to provide a more holistic and robust mechanism to protect and strengthen the interest of consumers and their rights by effectively preventing unfair trade practices, adulteration of food, misleading advertisements, defective products, black marketing including prohibiting a rampant increase in scams and frauds flourishing in the digital markets.

  • We welcome blog posts that address contemporary issues on Criminal Law. We particularly welcome editorial commentary and candid views. We prefer posts that include critical analysis or explore particular themes of wider resonance. We discourage posts that merely summaries cases or discuss basic aspects of Criminal Law on which substantial literature is already available on the Internet.
  • The article should be an original work of the author and not under consideration for publication in any other journal or blog.
  • Plagiarism beyond 10% in an article shall not be accepted and the same shall be outright rejected.
  • Minimum length of article is 1000 words; maximum should be limited to 1500 words excluding endnotes.
  • Co-authorship of a maximum of 2 is permitted.

  • Manuscripts must be double-spaced with one-inch margins all around. Use Times New Roman with the 12-point font for all typed text.
  • To avoid grammatical and spelling errors, you are strongly advised to use your word processor’s ‘spell-check’ and ‘grammar-check functions.
  • Single quotes throughout; double quotes are used within single quotes. Spellings of words in quotations should not be changed.
  • Title: should be concise and indicative. Avoid abbreviations in the title.
  • Author names and affiliations: Please indicate the authors’ names separately with their affiliations and check that all names are accurately spelt. Indicate all affiliations with a lowercase letter immediately after the author’s name. Provide the full postal address of each affiliation with the email address and phone number of each author.
  • Corresponding author: Indicate the corresponding author in case of multiple authors who will be contacted if needed for correspondence at all stages of refereeing and publication, also post-publication. Ensure that the email address and contact details given are up to date of the corresponding author and that any changes should be immediately informed.
  • Authors should ensure that the contents of the Manuscript are free from bias, recognizes diversities, and conveys respect and sensitivity towards differences.
  • Articles should use inclusive language throughout the Manuscript to ensure that it gives no way for any assumptions about the beliefs or commitments of any subject being researcher or the community it caters to or even the reader. It should contain nothing which might imply that one individual is superior to another on the grounds of race, sex, culture or any other characteristic.
  • Being an online Journal, the content is published on the Journal’s websites as well as on select databases. The Copyright of the research articles published in the Journal is held by the University, i.e. WBNUJS.

WORD LIMIT

  • Articles: 5,000 – 8,000 words
  • Short Articles: 3,000– 4,000 words

ABSTRACT

The Article should also include an abstract of about 250 words, which has to precede the article.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • The submission must be word processed and in Times New Roman.
  • The main text should be in font size 12 and footnotes in font size 10.
  • A line spacing of 1.5 for the main text and 1.0 for footnotes should be followed.
  • All paragraphs must begin with a one-inch indent.
  • All hyperlinks must be in black colour and must not be underlined.
  • Submissions should be made in MS Word format and those in pdf shall not be accepted.
  • Level one heading: It shall be numbered and in the centre.
  • Level two heading: It shall be left aligned and in bold letters.
  • Level three heading: It shall be left aligned and italicized.
  • All manuscripts shall include an ‘Introduction’ and ‘Conclusion’.
  • All citations shall be placed in foot-notes.
  • Number less than 100 shall be spelt out unless they are a percent (e.g., 5 percent).
  • Use of first person shall be avoided.
  • The Journal encourages the use of gender-neutral language.
  • All pages shall be numbered.
  • Uniform date format shall be used (e.g., August 15, 1947).
  • Quotations: Quotations within a sentence must be enclosed in double quotation marks (“ ”). A quotation within a quotation should be enclosed in single quotation marks (‘ ’). A quotation longer than three lines should be set out in a separate block indented from both the left and right margins.
  • Do not enclose the quotation in quotation marks. A quotation is introduced with a colon (:)
  • When referring to a section or article of a statute in the main text, the word ‘section’/’ article’ should neither be abbreviated nor capitalized. However, in the footnotes the section/ article should be abbreviated. (E.g. The Constitution of India, art. 30; The Indian Penal Code, s. 42.)
  • All the received articles/research papers will be subject to plagiarism check.
  • All submissions will go through an initial round of review and selection by the Editorial Board and then be sent for blind peer- review, before being finalised for publication. 
  • Authors are required to obtain written permission for the use of any copyrighted material in the manuscript and communicate the same to the Editorial Board.
  • Authors are required to mail two copies of the article: one copy must provide the author details (including name and institutional affiliation), and the other without any reference to the author(s) on their affiliation.
  • The subject of the mail should be “MSRJL Volume VII, 2022” and should contain the name of the author(s), institutional affiliation, mobile number(s) and email address(s).
  • The mail should also include a duly completed, signed and scanned copy of the declaration (draft attached as Annexure I).

RGNUL is accepting submissions in the form of a call for papers for its Financial and Mercantile Law Review Journal’s Volume X Issue I.

ABOUT

For Volume X Issue I, the author(s) can make submissions in the domain of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, competition, insolvency, banking and finance, insurance, capital markets, securities, dispute resolution and ADR, international trade, investment funds, labour and employment, taxation, intellectual property, real estate, technology, media & telecommunication, and white-collar crimes.

ELIGIBILITY

The Editorial Board invites submissions from legal practitioners, professionals, academics, and law students.

WORD LIMIT

RFMLR accepts submissions in the following categories:

  1. Article: 6000-12,000 words
  2. Short Note: 4000-6000 words
  3. Case Comment: 3000-5000 words
  4. Book Review: 1500-3000 words

The word limit is exclusive of footnotes.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • The submissions shall be in English language only.
  • Co-authorship is limited to a maximum of two authors.
  • Submissions shall be lucid, contemporarily relevant, and well-researched. They shall contain a novel analysis of the issue by the author(s). The Editorial Board encourages analytical submissions with concrete suggestions over descriptive submissions with generic suggestions.
  • Any form of plagiarism is strictly prohibited and the submission shall be original, unpublished, and an outcome of the author’s own efforts.

  • The manuscripts shall be submitted through this Google Form only. Submissions made through any other mode will not be entertained.
  • Each author is allowed to submit a maximum of 1 manuscript, in .doc or .docx format.
  • The author(s) shall submit the manuscript along with a duly signed Certificate of Originality and Copyright (in this format).
  • Upon submission, the author(s) will receive a receipt of acknowledgement of submission along with a code for your manuscript. Kindly quote the same in any future communication.

National Law University Jodhpur is inviting applications for the paper presentation and discussion on the state of implementation of the Right to Education, 2009 in the different states of India.

ABOUT

In furtherance of its ‘Milkar Karein RTE ko Sarthak’ initiative, the Committee is organizing an event to gauge the state of implementation of the RTE Act, 2009 across different regions in the nation by engaging Law schools and Universities. This shall be in the form of a paper presentation series and panel discussions.

ELIGIBILITY

  • All the law universities registered under the Bar Council of the India Act are eligible to participate in the competition.
  • Teams may consist of up to 10 members and a minimum of 4 members.
  • 2 members will represent the university in the report launch program.

REGISTRATION DETAILS

All the interested universities will have to register for the event through the registration link provided at the end of the post. Once the registration process is completed, each participating team will be allotted a code and proper guidelines will be sent to them via the official channel.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Submissions are accepted only in the English language.
  • All articles must be accompanied by an abstract not exceeding 300 words.
  • The paper shall be within 5000 words and must include an introduction, facts & findings of the survey, schools covered under the survey, issues in the implementation of RTE Act, suggestions and recommendations for better implementation of RTE Act, and a conclusion.
  • The body of the manuscript should be in Times New Roman, Font Size 12 and 1.5-line spacing.
  • The footnotes should be in Times New Roman, Font Size 10 and single line spacing.
  • The citations must conform to the style of Bluebook (20th Edition).
  • Manuscripts should only use footnotes as a means of citation. No other method shall be permitted.
  • Substantive footnotes are permissible.
  • Kindly send your report and the survey statistics before 11:59 p.m. on October 15, 2022 to the email: nlujlaac.rtesubmission@gmail.com. The subject of the email should be “RTE Report_Team Code_University Name ”.
  • The submission should be accompanied by a Covering Letter, which must include the following details:
    1. Name of University, Convenors, chairperson, Faculty In-charge, and team member.
    2. Contact Details– Address and Mobile No. of Faculty In charge and Team Representatives.
    3. About the Institution
    4. Survey and Data Collection for the purpose of the report
  • The teams will have to conduct the survey and include the collected data in the report and present the same before the panel of Judges.
  • After the closing of the Registration process, a time period of 1 month will be provided to the participating teams, during which the teams will have to prepare the report and conduct the survey.
  • The survey will have to be conducted in a minimum 5 and maximum 15 schools. The survey shall be conducted on the mandated parameters and questionnaire (in google form – will be shared later) provided by the committee. The mandated parameters and a detailed questionnaire will be released by organizing committee on or before September 15, 2022.
  • After the submission of the paper, a 2- 3 day event will be conducted, wherein the participating teams have to prepare a presentation and 2 members of the teams will deliver it before the panel of academicians, practitioners and experts in the field of RTE.
  • The panelists will judge the paper submitted and the presentation delivered on various presentations.

RTE REPORT LAUNCH

  • The inputs and suggestions provided by the participating universities will be used by the committee and the same will be inculcated into a report, the publication of which will mark the end of the event.
  • The launch of the report on the implementation of the state of RTE in India will be held in an offline mode.
  • Simultaneously, the prize distribution ceremony for the top 3 paper presenters will be held.

ABOUT

The Department of Labour Law and Administrative Law in the School for Excellence in Law from the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai is pleased to invite original, unpublished manuscripts for publication in the First Volume of the Journal of the Department of Labour Law and Administrative Law (JDLAL), 2022-2023 in the field of Labour Law and Administrative Law.

ELIGIBILITY

The Editorial Board of the JDLAL is pleased to invite original, unpublished manuscripts from law students, researchers, legal practitioners, academicians and others in the field of Labour Law and Administrative Law.

SUBMISSION CATEGORIES

Authors are requested to strictly adhere to the given word limit. Word count is exclusive of footnotes:

  • Research Papers: 4000 – 6000 words
  • Articles: 4000 – 5000 Words
  • Case comments and Book reviews: 1000 – 2000 words

Note – All manuscripts shall require five to six keywords and an abstract of not more than 250 words.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • All manuscripts are to be made in the electronic form to the following Email id dept.laljournal@gmail.com on or before 20th September, 2022. Submissions made through any other mode will not be accepted.
  • Co- authorship is allowed only up to a maximum of 2 authors.
  • The authors shall be required to submit a separate title page mentioning the title of the manuscript, category of the manuscript, author(s) name, affiliation, name of the institution, postal address, author’s contact details such as e-mail and contact number of the author designated to receive correspondence.
  • The authors shall also be required to submit a declaration to the effect that the submitted work is the original and it does not violate copyright of any person.
  • The manuscript must be original work of the author and free from grammatical and spelling errors. It must not contain any defamatory words or statements.
  • The manuscript submitted to the journal mail-id shall be acknowledged within 7 days and will be sent for Initial screening.
  • The manuscript clearing the initial screening stage shall be subjected to plagiarism check in Urkund software available with the University. Manuscripts exceeding plagiarism of 20% shall be rejected in this stage. A rejection mail shall be sent to the authors in this regard.
  • The manuscript submitted to the journal must not be previously published or currently under review at any other journal/conference/book and should not be submitted to any other journal/conference/book while under review with us.
  • Submission must be accompanied with an abstract of not more than 250 words. No paper will be accepted without an abstract.
  • The final decision as to acceptance and publication of the manuscript rests with the Editorial board.
  • NO FEE are to be paid at any stage for publication in the journal.
  • Author/s are required to submit the manuscripts in Microsoft word document.
  • The name of the document shall be the title of the manuscript.

  • The subject of E-mail shall be “Submission for Volume 1 in JDLAL”.
