 About the Competition

Lexpeeps.in is organizing the STHAAPNA-2022 : ANNUAL LAW FEST OF LEXPEEPS for law students on the occasion of Lexpeeps Foundation day. The competition is open only for law students and legal professionals. This is an online competition. All the entries shall be submitted in the registration form itself.

Eligibility

• The competition is open for all law students pursuing 5-year integrated program or 3-year law program or a postgraduate law degree from any recognised university/college/Institution in India.
• Any Advocate or Legal Professional
• A person can submit only one entry. Multiple entries will amount to disqualification.
• Multiple entries from the same college is permitted.

Submission Guidelines

• The article submitted must be the original author of the participant, the plagiarism limit is 15%, exceeding the plagiarism limit will amount to automatic disqualification of the participant and no certificate shall be issued.
• Co-Authorship up to only two allowed
• Article must be written in the English language only
• Articles should not be previously published anywhere and also should not be submitted anywhere else for publication.
• Submission of the article shall be made in. DOCX format only (to be attached in the registration form itself).
• All the entries shall be the exclusive property of the Lexpeeps
• Word Limit: Short Articles- 1500-2000; Long Articles: 2500-3000
• Cover Page of the submission must include the following:

ABOUT

The GNLU Centre for Research in Criminal Justice Sciences is organising the first edition of its Legislation Drafting Competition. The competition provides a remarkable opportunity for individuals to learn the nuances of legislative drafting and hone their skills in that respect.

The competition will help the participant to understand the intricacies of the process of drafting from identifying the issues to striking a standard balance between the ideal and the pragmatic aspects.

ELIGIBILITY

• The competition welcomes students across all law schools to participate and help in the dissemination of ideas and experiences on the prescribed topic.
• The competition is open to all students pursuing LLM or LLB from a recognized Law College/University. There is no restriction on the number of participants from a particular university.
• The participant can register individually as well as in a team that may comprise a maximum number of 2 members.

Prevention of Substance Abuse in Higher Educational Institutions and Schools

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

• The text must be in Times New Roman with Size 12, line spacing should be set to 1.5, no paragraph spacing with a one-inch margin on each side, and the alignment of the text should be justified.
• Footnotes must be in Times New Roman, Size 10, with Single Line spacing.
• Page numbers must be given at the Top Right-Hand Corner.
• The draft shall not exceed 25 pages (excluding the cover page).
• The cover page of the submission should include the Long Title of the bill along with the name of the Author(s), with the Author’s designation.
• The Content of the legislature drafted should be original and not plagiarized (15% limit), or there shall be a deduction of 1 mark each for every percent or can lead to disqualification. The decision of the organizers shall be final.
• The breakdown of a section shall be as follows:

Unity PG College, Lucknow is organizing the 7th Justice Murtaza Husain Memorial National Moot Court Competition to be held from November 4 to 6, 2022.

ABOUT

Built upon noble ideas, it continues the legacy of its founder Justice Murtaza Husain. In 1996, Unity Technical Institute Society was established by him with the main objective of providing professional and technical education to all.

Thereafter in the year 1998, Justice Murtaza Husain founded Unity Degree College. Unity Degree College was a minority institution in North India. Today, the college is a Post Graduate college, having been upgraded in 2018. Unity P.G. & Law College is his dream child.

ELIGIBILITY

• The Competition is open to all students, enrolled bonafide at the time of the competition in an undergraduate LL.B. degree Course or its equivalent conducted by any recognized Institution/College/University in India.
• A recognized Institution/College/University shall be entitled to send only one Team for the Competition.
• Each Team shall comprise three members. Two members of the Team shall be designated as Orators and the third member shall be designated as the Researcher.
• Any additional member or Team Coach accompanying a Team shall not be recognized and will not be entitled to a certificate from the MCC.
• Note: Students enrolled in postgraduate or diploma programs are not eligible to participate.
• Each team shall consist of a minimum of two members and a maximum of three members. The substitution of any Team Member is not allowed after the registration deadline except in extenuating circumstances and only with the written permission of the organizers.
• Every team shall consist of two speakers and only one researcher.
• A researcher shall be allowed to argue instead of a speaker only with the permission of the Court.

DETAILS

• All the participating institutions have to confirm their participation by sending an email to unitymootcourtcommittee@gmail.com with the subject “Registration for Justice Murtaza Husain Moot 2022” on or before 25th October (Tuesday) at 23:59 hrs.
• The email should contain the Names and Year of Study of the participants; the name of the institution of the Participating Team; and also whether they wish to take accommodation as per Rule 12.
• Teams whose registration is confirmed must register by 23:59 hr on October 25 (Tuesday) by sending an email to unitymootcourtcommittee@gmail.com with the Subject: “Registration for Justice Murtaza Husain Moot 2022”.
• The e-mail should contain the duly filled-in Registration Form along with the details of the online transfer (See Rule 3.3).
• Duly filled Travel Form shall be scanned and attached with this email. Each registered team would be allotted a Team Code after the payment of the registration fee by the Team is confirmed.
• Teams who opt for accommodation arranged by Organizers must send a registration fee of Rs. 6,000/- while those who do not opt for accommodation shall send an amount of Rs. 3,000/- towards the registration fee via Online Transfer (NEFT) latest by 23:59 hrs on October 25, 2022.
