About Enhelion

Enhelion is an organisation dedicated to the advancement of practical legal education in India since 2013. We offer a variety of courses which can be studied by law students and enthusiasts at their own convenience. Our focus is to bridge the gap between academia and the profession.Till date, Enhelion has a portfolio of about 450 courses on both conventional and contemporary areas of law and has collaborated with more than 40 law firms in India.

Till date, more than 50,000 students have enrolled for a variety of courses offered by us. We have also published about 30 academic books in collaboration with the renowned international publishers, Bloomsbury Publishing Inc.

About Enhelion’s Student Volunteering programme (ESVP)

We are conscious of the fact that law schools are the base of the legal profession in India. The role played by law students in the development of the profession cannot be and should not be neglected. Keeping this mind, we invite applications for Enhelion’s Student Volunteering Programme.
ESVP aims to build a bridge between Enhelion and the student community in law schools in India. On the one hand, the programme will help Enhelion to develop an understanding of the changing needs of the law students and develop courses to suit the their requirements, and on the other hand, it will act as a platform to disseminate Enhelion’s motto- “Lifelong learning made easy and affordable”. However, ESVP is not a one-sided programme. It has been structured to provide a win-win situation for both Enhelion and the law student who becomes a part of the programme.

Specific Requirements

Before applying for the student volunteering programme, please go through the specific requirements mentioned below. The applicant should be:

a. Pursuing Bachelor of Law (B.A. LL.B./ B.B.A. LL.B.) or Masters of Law (LL.M.) from
any law colleges recognized by the University Grants Commission.
b. Sincere and serious about work commitment.
c. Possessing good communication, leadership and marketing skills.
d. Able to understand and acknowledge the importance of online legal courses, specifically the courses relating to contemporary law subjects which are not extensively taught in law schools.
e. Willing to dedicate about 1-2 hours per week for fulfilling the assigned responsibilities.

If you are unable to dedicate the specified amount of time because of any internship or examination, do let us know in advance. We will be happy to accommodate yours needs!

Roles and responsibilities:

As a volunteer, you will be required to do one or more of the following:

a. Regularly update us about the schedule of the mid-term and end-term examinations, or any other major academic event happening in your college. You will also be requested to provide us information about any intra-college legal event being organized in your institution.
b. Publish a narrative on the popular courses offered by us on your social media platforms and tag @Enhelion. If you have previously done a course offered by Enhelion, you will be requested to upload your picture with the Certificate on your social media platforms.
c. Being a part of ESVP, you will act as a bridge between your institution and Enhelion. We will help you understand the importance of contemporary online legal courses in India and will thereby request you to let others from your institution know about the variety of online certificate, diploma and master courses on contemporary legal courses being offered by Enhelion.

The Dinesh Vyas Memorial Government Law College National Legal Essay Competition is named after Late Mr Dinesh Vyas, a distinguished GLC alumnus who graduated with an LLB from Government Law College in 1967.

About competition

The Client Counselling Competition promotes greater knowledge and interest among law students in the preventative law and counselling functions of law practice. It also encourages students to develop interviewing, planning, and analytical skills in the lawyer- client relationship in the law office. Interviewing and advising are a significant part of most lawyer’s work. The Competition provides an opportunity for a valuable educational and cultural interchange between students, law teachers, and legal practitioners.

  • Address the client’s legal and non-legal needs
  • The advocate-client relationship
  • Build rapport
  • Determine client goals
  • Consider applicable law, etc.

PREREQUISITE FOR STAGES

The Competition follows, Point Qualification Format in which teams accumulating the highest number of points in the preliminary rounds will qualify for the Quarter Finals followed by the Semi-Final Rounds and thereon for the Final Rounds.

There will be four (4) rounds of competition

  1. The Preliminary Round
  2. The Quarter Finals (for 8 short listed Teams).
  3. The Semi Final round (for 4 short listed Teams)
  4. The Final Round (for the Final 2 Teams)
    • Each Counselling Session is divided into three parts: Consultation, PostConsultation and Critique.
    • During the consultation and post-consultation, the team may use books, notes and other materials.

THEME

The problem for the Client Counselling will be based on any of these subject areas: Law of Torts, Constitutional Law, Specific Relief, Family Law, Criminal Law, Labour Law, Environmental Law, and other major Acts.

TIME LIMIT FOR EACH ROUND PER TEAM:

PRELIMINARY ROUND= 30 Minutes

  • Consultation Period is 20 Minutes.
  • Post Consultation Period is 5 Minutes.
  • Critique Period is 5 Minutes

SEMI-FINALS= 35 Minutes

  • Consultation Period is 25 Minutes.
  • Post Consultation Period is 5 Minutes.
  • Critique Period is 5 Minutes

FINALS= 40 Minutes

  • Consultation Period is 25 Minutes.
  • Post Consultation Period is 10 Minutes.
  • Critique Period is 5 Minutes

RULES FOR THE COMPETITION

The school of Law, Sathyabama institute of science And Technology is conducting 1st Virtual National Client Counselling Competition,2021. The Competition shall be conducted on 3rd & 4th December 2021. The rules for the competition are given below:

  1. The Organizers shall not be responsible for any loss due to slow or non-functional Internet Connection during the Competition. We request all the participants to arrange a sound Internet Connection.
  2. The decision of the Judges shall be final regarding the outcome of the Rounds.
  3. No additional documentation or screen sharing will be allowed.
  4. The Organizers reserve the right to take disqualify the participants if indulged unethical, wrongful or unprofessional conduct.
  5. Scouting is not allowed under any circumstances and may lead to disqualification. You are requested to exit the room after your session is over.
  6. If there is any situation, not covered by the Rules, the decision of the Organizers shall be final and binding.
  7. The participants are always required to comply with the rules formulated by the Organizing Committee during the competition. In case of any non-compliance with the rules of the competition, penalty may be imposed by deduction of marks and the teams may also be disqualified after they have been warned once.
  8. All the participates will receive their E-Certificates.
  9. Participants are advised to check their mailboxes regularly for updates.
  10. In the case of a tie, the higher rank would be determined on the basis of least time taken by the participants.

  • Each team must consist of two participants only.
  • The two participants may be from any of the 3 year or 5-year LLB course.

JUDGING CRITERIA

  • Quality of questions asked for obtaining relevant information from client
  • Extent of relevant remedies suggested to client
  • Establishing an effective professional relationship.
  • Learning the client’s goals, expectations and needs.
  • Factual and legal analysis of the client’s problems.
  • Giving advice and assisting the client to make an informed decision.
  • Response during the post consultation period.

MARKING CRITERIA

The Marking scheme shall comprise of 50 marks per participant, which shall be distributed as follows:

  1. Presence of mind = 10 marks
  2. Ability to provide legal solution = 10 marks
  3. Tactfully handling the client = 10 marks
  4. Extracting relevant information from client = 10 marks
  5. Audible summarizing & team work (Post Consultation) = 10 mark

The School of Law, Justice, and Governance, Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida in collaboration with CELMAR and LAC is pleased to announce the National Essay Writing Competition. The competition encourages critical thinking, which is the process of reflecting on a problem and coming to a resolution. It encourages students to evaluate various arguments in order to develop stronger perspectives.

ELIGIBILITY

  • The competition is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students from any recognized university across India.
  • One author can only submit one entry for the competition, all subsequent entries will be disqualified by default.
  • Incomplete and plagiarized submissions would also result in immediate disqualification.
  • No restriction on the number of entries from any college or university.
  • Only Individual Participation is allowed

II. CASE PROBLEM ANALYSIS

The event of “Problem Analysis” is being organized by the School of Law, Justice, and Governance, CELMAR and LAC of Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida with the theme of the proposition based on ‘Environmental Law and Constitutional Law’.
Noise Pollution is one of the major concerns of scientists nowadays. Its effect on human health and welfare is recently considered as an important and vital issue which encourages scientists and interested agencies all over the world, such as World Health Organisation (WHO), to conduct more researches concerning the assessment of its levels and harmful effects.
The competition deals with the similar aspect of problems arising due to noise pollution attached with a proposition mentioned below which is needed to be reviewed, analyzed in order to find out cost-effective and innovative solutions for the management of environmental issues dealt in the proposition along with the touch of Constitutional laws and Environmental laws. The event aims to spread public awareness among the people about the rising concern of
Environment problems and gives a platform for providing an effective solution for the same.

Roles and responsibilities

The Internship engagement is full-time and is designed to be a world class learning experience for the Internee, mentored by seasoned policy, management and communication experts. The areas proposed are –

  • Management Team involved in the overall functioning of MyGov. Requires managerial and coordination skills as well as an understanding of public policy.
  • Partnerships Team involved in engagements with different Ministries. Requires strong interpersonal skills, and understanding of public policy.
  • Social Media, Research and Creative Team involved in information dissemination through the website and social media. Requires a policy background, research ability and good writing skills.
  • HR Team involved in recruitment and daily HR operational activities.
  • Graphics Designing involved in designing infographics, logos, banners etc. for the website and social media. Requires design training in this area.
  • IT/Tech-development and Software Testing involved in proving tech support to the MyGov platform. Requires appropriate skills in these fields.

Duration of Internship

The minimum duration of internship shall be two months from the date of joining, extendable depending on the performance of the candidate, requirement of the Department and time the intern is willing to spend with the Department.

Code of Conduct

The Intern appointed by MyGov shall observe MyGov standard Code of Conduct – which shall be shared before the selected intern joins.

Remuneration

There is no cash remuneration. A certificate of internship will be issued on successful completion.

Certificate of Internship

A certificate of internship will be issued by MyGov on the competition of Internship and submission of report duly countersigned and accepted by the Competent Authority.

The position of an Associate at First Legal, Advocates and Legal Consultants, would entail different aspects of litigation practice.

Qualifications

  • The applicant must be from a reputed law school or National law school (preferred).
  • The applicant should have knowledge about the day to day working of Delhi High Court and is expected to carry out research and drafting work on a daily basis.
  • The applicant must have successfully cleared the All India Bar Exam.
  • Remuneration offered is as per market standards.
