Call for Blogs for DNLU’s Centre for Research and Studies in Human Rights

DNLU’s Centre for Research and Studies in Human Rights (CRaSH) is inviting submissions for its Blog, on ‘International Conflict & Human Rights’.

ABOUT

The Centre for Research and Studies in Human Rights (CRaSH), Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur, is an endeavour of the University to respond to the emerging regime of Human Rights. The Centre seeks to undertake interdisciplinary studies involving legal academia and other stakeholders and contribute in the best possible manner to the global pool of knowledge on the subject.

THEME

World is currently experiencing turmoil as ‘International Conflict’. Deviating from the original meaning of the term, increasingly, it also applies to inter-group conflicts within a country when one group is fighting for independence or increased social, political, or economic power such as noticed in Sudan/South Sudan, Iraq and Syria. In recent decades, armed conflict has plighted the lives of millions of civilians. Serious violations of international humanitarian and human rights law are common in many armed conflicts. Some of these violations have been seen to constitute genocide, war crimes or crimes against humanity. 

The theme International Conflict and Human Rights is aimed at providing a platform to explore the causes, courses, and consequences of international conflict (including but not limited to war, revolution, political disputes, terrorism, and genocide).

DURATION

As per new policy for Blog, effective from November 2022, the Centre calls for submissions on a monthly rolling basis. The submissions will be accepted from 15th of the month till 15th of the next month, for publication in the following month of the submission cycle.

The blog will run an overarching theme inviting submissions on the same. The broader theme will be effective for a period of 6 months. The general submissions will not impliedly be barred; however, acceptance of the general submissions will be at the discretion of the Editors.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Word Limit: The word-limit for the manuscripts is between 1000-1500 words.
  • Font: All submissions must be made in the font Times New Roman or Georgia with heading size 14, text size 12 and spacing 1.5.
  • Co-authorship: Up to a maximum of 2 authors is permitted.
  • Citation Format: · Bluebook 20th edition. 
  • Format: All the entries should be submitted in (.doc) or (.docx) format.
  • Originality: The entries must be original, unpublished, and an outcome of the author(s’) own efforts. The Blog follows a limited plagiarism policy and plagiarism beyond that limit will lead to disqualification for publication on the Blog.
  • Title: The title should be brief and one that clearly communicates the topic and conveys the essence of the piece to the reader.
  • The submission should be emailed at crash@mpdnlu.ac.in
  • The submission email should accompany a cover letter/email with the relevant details.
  • Note: The subject of the mail for submission should read ‘Submission for CRaSH Blog: Month & Year’.
  • The Blogs are invited on a monthly rolling basis. The last date for each submission period is the last day as notified above, till 11:59 PM.

ICFAI LAW SCHOOL is organizing a Three Day International Conference on Legal Contours of Victimology.

ABOUT

This conference is an attempt to provide a platform for meaningful interaction in the field of victimology, more so with regard to victim rights and victim justice in the administration of the criminal justice system. This conference aims to bring together discussions on various aspects of the subject of victimology. Further, the event is aiming to amalgamate theory and practice in the field of victimology. The objective of these three days international conferences is to assemble different actors and academicians, including scholars conducting research in the said field to give rise to sound deliberations on the subject in the study of victimology in the criminal justice system. We aspire to make it a holistic event with the active participation of all the stakeholders.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Submissions for paper presentations at the conference are to be mailed in the form of an abstract of 300 words and full research papers (Not more than 6000 words) with footnotes in bluebook 20th edition format.
  • The Abstract has to be sent to email ID: cenexcrime@ifheindia.org.
  • The research paper is to be typed in font Times New Roman with font size 12 and line spacing 1.5, headings to be typed in font size 14 Bold, and footnotes in font size 10.
  • The abstract should be 300 words with a minimum of five (5) keywords and must be accompanied by a cover page consisting of the author’s/co-author’s details.
  • After acceptance of the abstract, the full paper has to be submitted to the same email ID: cenexcrime@ifheindia.org
  • Selected papers may be facilitated for publication with a reputed publisher.

NLUJ LAW REVIEW, the bi-annual journal of NLU Jodhpur is making a call for submissions for Volume IX Issue 1 in the form of articles, and case notes.

ABOUT CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

NLUJ LAW REVIEW invites submissions of unpublished manuscripts including, but not limited to long articles, short articles, and case notes in different facets of law and allied fields.

THEME

There are no restrictions in relation to the area in laws

SUBMISSION CATEGORIES

  1. LONG ARTICLES: 6000 to 8000 words, the category includes submissions that are comprehensively analyzing a nuanced legal issue
  2. SHORT ARTICLES: 3000 to 6000 words, the category includes submissions that undertake an in-depth study of specific legal issues.
  3. CASE NOTES: 1500 to 3000 words, the category is inclusive of case notes that discuss any contemporary question of laws.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  1. The submissions made under the categories of long articles and short articles must enclose an abstract of not more than 200 words
  2. The review permits co-authorship of not more than two authors in the categories.
  3. All submissions should be original
  4. Word limits prescribed are exclusive of footnotes

FORMATTING GUIDELINES

  1. Disclosure of information concerning the identity of the author including, but not limited to name, institutional affiliation, within the body of the manuscript or other properties of the document submitted is strictly prohibited.
  2. The main content of the manuscript must be formatted as GARAMOND in font size 12 with a line spacing of 1.5 with headings and subheadings in a uniform style
  3. The footnotes must follow the 20th EDITION OF THE BLUEBOOK
  4. The first page of the manuscript must only contain the title followed by the abstract. The second page must contain a table of contents; the main body thereafter

School of legal studies, CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF PUNJAB is making a call for chapters of a book chapter on Legal Dimensions of Waste Management for Sustainable Development.

ABOUT THE CALL FOR CHAPTERS

The proposed book will focus on chapters on all legal dimensions of waste management for sustainable development. The new book will explore the cutting edge art of sustainability on the latest green methods for waste management, current judicial approaches, and current research problems with solid waste management systems.

ELIGIBILITY

Researchers and academicians are invited to contribute innovative ideas and laws for waste management related to domestic and international waste in chapters.
