Types of Submissions Acceptance

The IJLLR Journal invites original, unpublished manuscripts in the following categories:

  • Long Articles (3000-6000 words, Excluding footnotes)
  • Essays/Short Articles (1500-3000 words, Excluding footnotes)
  • Case Notes and Legislative Comments (1200-2500 words)

Note: While it is advisable to adhere to the word limits of each category, the journal may be flexible on the word limit depending on the quality of the article.

Submission of Abstract

Guidelines for the Abstract

  • Abstract must be of maximum 250 words & 5 Key Words have to be enlisted.
  • The working font is Times New Roman.
  • All content must be of Font Size 12. The Line Spacing shall be 1.5.

Final Paper Submission

Guidelines for the Final Paper

  • The word range for the paper should approximately vary between 3000 – 5000 words inclusive of footnotes.
  • The working font is Times New Roman. The main content must be of font size 12. The line spacing shall be 1.5. The foot notes shall be single spaced with font size of 10. Argumentative and running foot notes are to be avoided.
  • The page numbers shall be consecutively marked on the right-side bottom of the page.
  • The contributors shall divide the papers into Sections, which also includes Subsections (core and allied components). A minimum of 4 components (not exceeding 6) shall be identified.
  • Quotations shall be sparingly used. Unnecessary Italics and Bolds shall be avoided. Italics may be permitted for Principles/ Doctrines, Maxims, Etymology and Case Laws.
  • Avoid Capitalization as much as possible except in cases of Legal Jargons, Terms and Statutory Reference. For Example: Article, Section, Treaty, Resolution, Draft.
  • Abbreviations shall be used only in cases of frequent use. For Example: if ‘United Nations’ is frequently used, then it shall be abbreviated to UN (In case of popular abbreviations, the contributor is requested to adhere to the known form of abbreviation, Ex: united nations shall not be abbreviated to UniNat).
  • Punctuations should be sparingly used. Single quotation marks must be used.
  • In terms of cross references Supra and Infra can be selectively used.
  • The contributions must strictly relate to verifiable data. Adequate information must be provided for the sources relied. In case of supportive sources due acknowledgment must be furnished.
  • In general, sources from newspapers and Magazines should be avoided. In select cases, based upon the subject requirement, it may be permitted.
  • Plagiarism of maximum of 15-20 percent is allowed.
  • Contributions not adhering to the above said rules shall not be considered for publication.

About the Journal

ThePanjab University Law Review is a reputed and well established Journal that has been published since 1951. It is a Refereed and Peer Review-Journal with ISSN Number: 0971- 5541.

How to Submit?

A copyright of the articles and other contributions is vested with the department. Send two hard copies of manuscript to the Chairperson, Department of Laws, Panjab University, Sector 14, Chandigarh-160014 and also email of the same at pulr@pu.ac.in. The last date for submission of articles/research papers is 30th November 2021.

Submission Guidelines

  • Manuscripts, minimum of 3000 words and maximum of 5000 words in case of research paper/article and minimum of 1200 words and maximum of 2000 words in case of book review and case comments with proper footnoting and acknowledgements, typed on one side of the paper with 12 font size in Times New Roman, double spaced, with one inch margin on all four sides in MS- Word format, will be accepted.
  • Please provide your full name/s, address, designation, email and contact numbers and Volume No. of the Journal for which paper is submitted.
  • As we follow blind peer review process, therefore the author’s name or affiliation should not appear anywhere else in body of manuscript except near the title of the Article.
  • Every manuscript should be labelled as: A Research Paper or case comments or book review etc.
  • Authors are required to write an abstract (not exceeding 250 words along with 5 keywords) describing the work and its significance.
  • Tables, if any should be numbered consecutively. Title of the table should appear above the table and sources at the bottom.
  • The Author is required to take note of:

Call for Papers

The organisers invite original, unpublished research papers for a national seminar from students, research scholars, academicians and practicing lawyers. Authors shall declare that the manuscripts submitted for the seminar do not infringe the copyright of any other person. About the Seminar

Human Rights, occupy a pivotal role globally especially after the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.It has gained an important place in international and national policy considerations. Despite the increased focus on Human Rights, the reality of the day is “Too much emphasis – Too many violations”. Though there is stringent enforcement of laws, collective efforts by the governments, the active participation of media and the Human Rights agencies, the Human Rights scenario world over is posed with various challenges because for a larger section of the society, Human Rights are still an abstract concept.

Against this backdrop, the importance of Human Rights Education acquires increased importance; it assumes potential significance in transforming Human Rights issues into reality. This Seminar is an endeavour to spread awareness regarding the multi-faceted concept of Human Rights laws among the youth, academia, industry and even the common masses, as well as to contribute to the global discourse on the way forward for Human Rights laws.

The broad theme of the Journal for Volume V Issue 1 is “Addressing Emerging Trends: Navigating the Murky Waters of Corporate Law and Governance.”

Submission Guidelines

Please note that the submissions must conform to the following requirements:

  • The author(s) may contribute to the Journal in the form of Articles, Notes, Comments and Case Analysis.
  • The acceptable length of Articles is >4500 words, and of Notes, Comments & Case Analysis is between 3000-4500 words, including footnotes.
  • All submissions must include an abstract of not more than 300 words, explaining the main idea, objective of the article and the conclusions drawn from it.
  • Each submission may have maximum of two authors.
  • The manuscript should be on A4 sized paper, in Garamond, font size 12, 1.15 line Spacing, justified and 1-inch margins on each side. Footnotes should be in Garamond, font size 10 and with single line spacing.
  • The Authors must conform to the Bluebook (20 th edition) Uniform System of Citation. Please refer to our guide to Bluebook (20th edition) here.
  • The Manuscript should not contain any identification of the author/s, which shall be a ground for rejection of the submission. Authors should provide their contact details, designation, institutional affiliation and address in the covering letter for the submission.
  • The submission must be the original work of the authors. Any form of plagiarism will lead to direct rejection.
  • The relevant sources should be duly acknowledged as footnotes. The decision of the Editorial Board in this regard shall be final.

NOTE

Co-authorship is permitted to a maximum of two authors and at least one author must attend the E Conference to present the paper. No Proxy presentations are allowed. The School of Law, CHRIST in keeping with its mandate of publishing original works only, adopts a stringent anti-plagiarism policy.

Any paper containing any unattributed work is thus liable to be rejected.

About the Journal

The Journal of Multi-Disciplinary Legal Research (JMDLR) is an Open-Access, Peer-Reviewed journal published bi-monthly (one issue every two months). JMDLR is expected to be a platform for academicians and students from the legal fraternity to present their ideas related to Law and its Allied Branches. JMDLR seeks to provide an interactive platform for the publication of Short Articles, Long Articles, Book reviews, Case comments, Legislative comments, and Research Papers in the field of Law.

Theme of the Journal

The theme of the journal includes any and all areas related to Law.

Submission Guidelines

  • Please note the following details in relation to the submissions.
  • Law students pursuing the three-year LL. B, as well as the five-year integrated LL.B. program, students pursuing LL.M. or Ph.D., Research Associates,
  • Academicians, Educators, and professionals and practitioners in any field of Law are eligible to submit

Following word limit should strictly be adhered to:

  • Short Articles: (1500-2500 words, including footnotes)
  • Long Articles: (2500+ words, including footnotes)
  • Research Papers: (2000+ words, including footnotes)
  • Book Reviews: (1000-3500 words, including footnotes)
  • Case Comments: (1000-2500 words, including footnotes)
  • Legislative Comments: (1000-2500 words, including footnotes)

Other Guidelines:

  • The main body of the manuscript should be in Times New Roman style, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing and footnotes in Times New
  • Roman Style, Size 10, with 1.0 line spacing. All headings must have uniform formatting.
  • The first page of the manuscript should contain the name of the paper, the name of the authors followed by an abstract.
  • The second page should commence with the main body of the manuscript.
  • Texts and footnotes should conform to the Bluebook 20th Edition.

Publication Fees

  • Single Author: Rs. 1000/-
  • Co-Author: Rs. 1200/-

Submission Deadline

The deadline for submissions for the second issue is 21st November 2021.

While submissions shall be accepted across the year, those made after the deadline will be considered for the forthcoming issues.

White Black Legal (ISSN 2581-8503) is open access, peer-reviewed and refereed journal provide dedicated to expressing views on topical legal issues, thereby generating a cross current of ideas on emerging matters. Theme

Any appropriate theme related to the socio-legal aspect is acceptable.

Guidelines for submission

  • The manuscript should be in MS Word format.
  • The title of the manuscript should be appropriate.
  • The manuscript shall be original and unpublished.
  • The submission should not be plagiarized, and free from grammatical, spelling and other errors.
  • Full names of all the author(s) must be given.
  • Any uniform method for citation may be followed.
  • The body of the manuscript shall be in Times New Roman, font size 12, 1.5 line spacing. Footnotes should be in Times New Roman, size 10 single line spacing.
  • Page borders shall not be used.

  • Articles: 3000-5000 words including footnotes
  • Short Notes: 2000-3000 words including footnotes
  • Book Reviews: 1000-2000 words including footnotes
  • Case Commentaries: 1000-3000 words including footnotes

Last Date of submission

Last date for submission of full manuscript: November 24, 2021

The publication/certificate will be released on a rolling basis within 48 hours of payment.
