IJLLR – Indian Journal of Law and Legal Research, ISSN: 2582-8878, is an online bi-monthly journal. The Journal revolves around Socio-legal topics and is not restricted to any particular field or subject of law. The Journal promotes interdisciplinary research entailing detailed study of law with other disciplines in the contemporary era.

Any socio-legal topic or issue relating to law can be sent for publication as IJLLR promotes interdisciplinary research in the field of law and related disciplines.
Eligibility

The Indian Student Law Review (ISLR) is primarily a student-run journal of the School of Excellence in Law, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. ISLR is devoted to attracting quality socio-legal articles from legal enthusiasts and students irrespective of their area of study.
The Indian Student Law Review (ISLR); ISSN 2249-4391 has a summer and a winter edition of the journal publication which is both available as print and digital.
Theme
Contemporary Socio-legal issues with an interdisciplinary approach which is innovative and unique.
Eligibility
Academicians, Legal Practitioners, Researchers, and Students from any field of study are invited to submit articles for the ISLR.
The word range for the paper should approximately vary between 3000 – 5000 words inclusive of footnotes.
The working font is Times New Roman. The main content must be of font size 12. The line spacing shall be 1.5. The foot notes shall be single spaced with font size of 10. Argumentative and running foot notes are to be avoided.
The page numbers shall be consecutively marked on the right-side bottom of the page.
The contributors shall divide the papers into Sections, which also includes Subsections (core and allied components). A minimum of 4 components (not exceeding 6) shall be identified.
Quotations shall be sparingly used. Unnecessary Italics and Bolds shall be avoided. Italics may be permitted for Principles/ Doctrines, Maxims, Etymology and Case Laws.
Avoid Capitalization as much as possible except in cases of Legal Jargons, Terms and Statutory Reference. For Example: Article, Section, Treaty, Resolution, Draft.
Abbreviations shall be used only in cases of frequent use. For Example: if ‘United Nations’ is frequently used, then it shall be abbreviated to UN (In case of popular abbreviations, the contributor is requested to adhere to the known form of abbreviation, Ex: united nations shall not be abbreviated to UniNat).
Punctuations should be sparingly used. Single quotation marks must be used.
In terms of cross references Supra and Infra can be selectively used.
The contributions must strictly relate to verifiable data. Adequate information must be provided for the sources relied. In case of supportive sources due acknowledgment must be furnished.
In general, sources from newspapers and Magazines should be avoided. In select cases, based upon the subject requirement, it may be permitted.
Plagiarism of maximum of 15-20 percent is allowed.
Contributions not adhering to the above said rules shall not be considered for publication.

The faculty members/research scholars, who are desirous of contributing a paper, are requested to contribute articles/research papers/book reviews/case comments on any topic of socio-legal importance for these issues.
How to Submit?
A copyright of the articles and other contributions is vested with the department. Send two hard copies of manuscript to the Chairperson, Department of Laws, Panjab University, Sector 14, Chandigarh-160014 and also email of the same at pulr@pu.ac.in. The last date for submission of articles/research papers is 30th November 2021.
Submission Guidelines
Manuscripts, minimum of 3000 words and maximum of 5000 words in case of research paper/article and minimum of 1200 words and maximum of 2000 words in case of book review and case comments with proper footnoting and acknowledgements, typed on one side of the paper with 12 font size in Times New Roman, double spaced, with one inch margin on all four sides in MS- Word format, will be accepted.
Please provide your full name/s, address, designation, email and contact numbers and Volume No. of the Journal for which paper is submitted.
As we follow blind peer review process, therefore the author’s name or affiliation should not appear anywhere else in body of manuscript except near the title of the Article.
Every manuscript should be labelled as: A Research Paper or case comments or book review etc.
Authors are required to write an abstract (not exceeding 250 words along with 5 keywords) describing the work and its significance.
Tables, if any should be numbered consecutively. Title of the table should appear above the table and sources at the bottom.

Human Rights, occupy a pivotal role globally especially after the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.It has gained an important place in international and national policy considerations. Despite the increased focus on Human Rights, the reality of the day is “Too much emphasis – Too many violations”. Though there is stringent enforcement of laws, collective efforts by the governments, the active participation of media and the Human Rights agencies, the Human Rights scenario world over is posed with various challenges because for a larger section of the society, Human Rights are still an abstract concept.
Against this backdrop, the importance of Human Rights Education acquires increased importance; it assumes potential significance in transforming Human Rights issues into reality. This Seminar is an endeavour to spread awareness regarding the multi-faceted concept of Human Rights laws among the youth, academia, industry and even the common masses, as well as to contribute to the global discourse on the way forward for Human Rights laws.

Please note that the submissions must conform to the following requirements:
The author(s) may contribute to the Journal in the form of Articles, Notes, Comments and Case Analysis.
The acceptable length of Articles is >4500 words, and of Notes, Comments & Case Analysis is between 3000-4500 words, including footnotes.
All submissions must include an abstract of not more than 300 words, explaining the main idea, objective of the article and the conclusions drawn from it.
Each submission may have maximum of two authors.
The manuscript should be on A4 sized paper, in Garamond, font size 12, 1.15 line Spacing, justified and 1-inch margins on each side. Footnotes should be in Garamond, font size 10 and with single line spacing.

The Manuscript should not contain any identification of the author/s, which shall be a ground for rejection of the submission. Authors should provide their contact details, designation, institutional affiliation and address in the covering letter for the submission.
The submission must be the original work of the authors. Any form of plagiarism will lead to direct rejection.
The relevant sources should be duly acknowledged as footnotes. The decision of the Editorial Board in this regard shall be final.
