The generations of distinguished legal luminaries who have been nurtured by this unique institution, have made a seminal contribution globally, to the evolution of the legal fraternity.

Accordingly, SPIL, Mumbai is pleased to hold the National Legal Article Writing Competition calling for articles from law students across the country.

ELIGIBILITY

Students/Participants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, i.e., 3-year LL.B. Course or 5-year LL.B. course from any recognized College or University or pursuing LL.M from any recognized University.

Changing role of International Sports Law in the 21st Century

PRIZES

  • Best Paper: INR 8000 + Publication in the GLC SPIL International Law Journal + Internship Opportunity at Sports Law and Policy Review Reporter + Certificate of Merit

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Only a single submission may be made from each participant. 
  • The articles should be the original work of the authors. Any kind of plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
  • Each entry must be previously unpublished work of the participant. The articles published elsewhere or selected/submitted for publication elsewhere shall be disqualified.
  • Articles co-authored by two participants will be accepted. 
  • The entries shall be the property of SPIL, Mumbai which reserves the right of publication of the same in any periodical, journal, newsletter, digital material or in any other manner as it may deem appropriate. 
  • The organizing committee’s decision as regards the interpretation of the rules or any other matter related to the Competition shall be final and binding.
  • The name of the author should not be mentioned anywhere in the article.
  • The article is to have a minimum of 3000 words and a maximum of 4000 words, inclusive of footnotes. 
  • The article should be typed in Times New Roman, Font Size 12, Line Spacing double-spaced (2.0) and the article should be justified. 
  • The footnotes must be typed in Times New Roman, Font Size 10 and Line Spacing 1.0. 
  • The margins on all pages must be 1” or 2.54 cm on all sides. 
  • Every citation must follow the Harvard Bluebook, 20th Edition. 
  • The submissions must be sent by email to spil.glc@gmail.com with the subject “Submission: National Legal Article Writing Competition”
  • The body of the e-mail must specify the name of the author, theme & sub-topic, title of the article, college/ institute/ university, programme enrolled & year of study, e-mail address & contact no. of the author. 
  • The submission must be attached in ‘.doc’ or ‘.docx’ and ‘.pdf’ format.

The Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution, RGNUL (CADR) is collaborating with Surana & Surana International Attorneys, headquartered in Chennai, India to organize the 3rd edition of the International Arbitral Award Writing Competition 2022.

ABOUT

The Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR) at the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab, has been established to promote students’ and researchers’ interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution constituting dispute resolution methods like Arbitration, Negotiation, Mediation and Conciliation. CADR endeavours to promote and develop ADR as a vehicle of socio-economic and political justice.

ELIGIBILITY

The competition shall be open to the students who are pursuing their B.A.LL.B./LLM/PhD/MPhil or any other Undergraduate or Masters courses (other than Law) in any university across the world.

If any student of Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) is positioned amongst the top three, he/she will not be eligible for the top three prizes but will be felicitated with a special prize by the Surana & Surana International Attorneys, Chennai.

  • In the article, 15 per cent of plagiarism is allowed for the participants.

About the Blog

The Indian Review of Corporate and Commercial Laws (IRCCL) is a blog that publishes articles on current issues relating to corporate law, dispute resolution, antitrust, taxation, insolvency law, trade law, and labour and employment law.

Started in 2018, the blog endeavours to create a writing community, consisting of students, research scholars and practitioners, so as to generate debate and discussion in the aforesaid areas. 

Submission Guidelines

Authors wishing to contribute their work to IRCCL should ensure that their submission conforms to the following guidelines:

  • The article should address current and pertinent issues in any of the following areas:
    • Corporate Law;
    • Dispute Resolution Law;
    • Competition/Antitrust Law;
    • Insolvency Law;
    • Trade Law;
    • Labour and Employment Law; or
    • Law of Taxation.
  • Word Limit: The article should not exceed 1,500 words.
  • Footnote: Should the article use any material as a reference, an appropriate link should be provided thereof in the main text itself.
  • Footnotes, which should follow a uniform mode of citation, could be used only if such a form of referencing is not possible.
  • Originality: The content should be original and unpublished.
  • Nature of Submission: IRCCL prefers articles that are analytical in nature.

  • Any uniform method for citation may be followed.
  • The main text of the entries should be in Times New Roman, with a font size of 12 and justified alignment, with a margin of one inch on all sides.

Lex Jura Law Journal (ISSN; 2582-3949) is an endeavour of Vidhivyedetta, a firm which is determined to bring out diverse legal ideas and opinions. An inter-disciplinary journal, the founders and editors of this journal advocate the importance of freedom of speech and expression and understand the need for transmission of ideas across platforms and disciplines. The Journal invites entries in the following categories:

The articles/notes/comments should be thoroughly analyzed and presented on any contemporary relevant legal or socio-legal issues. The articles/notes/comments must be clear on the topic that is dealt upon and lucidly presented without any ambiguity.

Book Reviews should include brief but deep analysis of the topic of the book, the details mentioned in the book on the concerned topic and also about the author’s stance and analysis of the topic discussed in the book and of the book itself.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • The main text of the entries should be in Times New Roman, with a font size of 12 and justified alignment, with a margin of one inch on all sides.
  • The footnotes should be in Times New Roman with font size of 12.
  • Bluebook citation should be strictly followed.
  • Submissions must be in MS Word (.doc or docx.) format only.
  • The paper should compulsorily include Abstract, Keywords and Hypothesis. Entries must be accompanied with an abstract of 250- 300 words.
  • Co-Authorship is allowed up to a maximum of two authors. Both single and co-authored (a maximum of two authors) entries shall be accepted. Only one submission per author is allowed. In case of multiple submissions by an author, all the manuscripts submitted by the author shall be rejected at the outset.
  • The submission must be original work of author(s). In case of gross plagiarism, the manuscript shall be rejected directly. The relevant sources should be duly acknowledged as footnotes.
  • All the author(s) are required to submit an undertaking in a separate document mentioning their name, age, institution, year and field of study. The undertaking must include a declaration that none of the part of submitted article has been reproduced from any published material and the submission has been nowhere published beforehand and the same is not under consideration anywhere for publication and the author(s) shall be solely responsible for any copyright violation and consequences ensuing.
  • The subject of email shall be ‘Volume 2.1, Lex Jura Law Journal’. No submission shall be accepted after the deadline. All the manuscript shall be submitted in English Language only. The language used must be formal and clear, adhering to the submission guidelines of the Journal. All the submissions must be mailed to review.lexjura@gmail.com.
  • The publication is free of cost.

These requirements, apart from the main content of the paper are necessary for the consideration of the same for publication. Non-availability of the above mentioned in the paper shall lead to disqualification.
