  5. Intersection of competition law with other areas of law – navigating concurrence or any potential conflicts.
  6. Way forward for anti-trust enforcement in India – Key takeaways and comparative analysis of the Indian anti-trust regime with respect to foreign jurisdictions

The last date for submission of manuscripts is September 15, 2021. Subject to the outcome of the review process, the manuscript will feature in the upcoming Issue which is scheduled for publication in November, 2021.

Eligibility and Word Limit

  1. The submissions must be on any theme related to competition law.
  2. The manuscript may be co-authored by a maximum of two authors.
  3. The Journal accepts the following kinds of submissions:
    • Articles – 5,000 to 10,000 words.
    • Short notes – 2,500 to 5,000 words.
    • Case Comments – 1,500 to 2,500 words

These word counts are exclusive of footnotes. The Editorial Board reserves the right to increase or relax the word limit, depending on the quality of the submission.

Guidelines

  1. The mail bearing the manuscript must declare, in its body, the category for which the submission is made for, i.e. article/short notes/case comment.
  2. The body of the manuscript should be in Times New Roman, font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing. The footnotes should be in Times New Roman, font size 10 with single line spacing.
  3. The manuscripts should be properly footnoted wherever sources are being used. The use of endnotes, hyperlinks, etc. is strictly prohibited. Further, no speaking footnotes (descriptive footnotes) are allowed.
  4. All the sources in the footnotes must conform to the Oxford University Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA) 4th ed. style of citation.
  5. The manuscripts must be preceded by an abstract of not more than 250 words.
  6. The manuscript must not contain any reference to the author’s name, affiliation or credentials.
  7. All manuscripts must be accompanied by a cover letter with the name(s) of the author(s), institution/affiliation, the title of the manuscript, and contact details. The author must also confirm in the cover letter that the manuscript is not being considered for publication elsewhere.
  8. The manuscript must be an original and unpublished work.
  9. If necessary, ICLR may request the author to provide a printed copy of the manuscript, in addition to the electronic copy.

Editorial Policy

  1. The submission indicates the Author(s)’ acceptance to the following conditions:
  2. The ICLR follows three stages of blind peer-review procedure and shall endeavor to keep the authors informed about the status of their manuscript as it goes through each stage of review.
  3. ICLR retains complete discretion over acceptance/rejection of manuscripts. The Editorial Board of ICLR shall not entertain requests for advance decisions based on abstracts, topic proposals or outlines. Editorial decisions shall be based solely on review of the final manuscripts submitted by the authors.
  4. Post-review, manuscripts may be returned to the authors with suggestions related to substance and/or style. Acceptance of a manuscript for publication shall be made contingent on incorporation of such suggestions.
  5. ICLR reserves the right to request copies of any resources or authorities cited in the manuscript.

  1. The last date for submission of manuscripts is September 15, 2021. Subject to the outcome of the review process, the manuscript will feature in the upcoming Issue which is scheduled for publication in November, 2021.

  5. The Authors are advised to send only one submission per author or a team of co-authors.

The National Commission for Women has been set up as a statutory body in terms of the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 (Act No. 20 of 1990) to further review the Constitutional and Legal safeguards available to women, recommend remedial measures to remove impediments in realizing such goals, facilitate redressal of grievances and advise the Government on all policy matters affecting women. The Commission also organizes workshops/consultations, constitutes expert committees, undertakes studies/make recommendations for the economic empowerment of women, conducts workshops/seminars for gender awareness and takes up publicity campaign awareness in the society against such social evils.

2. The National Commission for Women has, with a view to effectively disseminate knowledge/information on women related issues and build a pool of trained manpower, decided to engage interns in the National Commission for Women with immediate effect. Accordingly, it has been decided to offer following categories of internship:

Scheme A:
 Unpaid Internship for a period not less than 30 days for 1st-year students of 3 year LLB Course or 3rd-year student of 5 year LLB Course/Post Graduate in Sociology/Social Work 1st year

Scheme B: 
Paid Internship for a period of 60 days.


3. With a view to enable students to apply for internships, an online application proforma has been made available on the portal of National Commission for Women viz. http://ncw.nic.in.

4. Students desirous of interning with the NCW may upload their applications in the prescribed proforma indicating dates for the caledar year 2021 when they would like to intern with the Commission. A letter of recommendation from the Head of the Institution/Authorised Signatory may also be uploaded. Efforts will be made to accommodate students closer to the dates indicated by them and, in case, it is not possible to do so, alternative dates will be offered. Each intern will need to maintain a diary of the work done by them on each day of internship in the Commission. All interns will also be required to sign a declaration regarding the confidentiality of information/documents that will come to their knowledge.

5. The interns will be selected on the following basis:

Scheme A:
 First come first serve basis subject to fulfilling the eligibility requirements

Scheme B: 
50% weightage for the percentage obtained during last two years and 50% weightage for the quality of the ‘Statement of Purpose’ uploaded as part of the proforma.

6. The maximum number of interns to be engaged at any point of time, under both schemes will be decided by the Competent Authority, National Commission for Women. It is clarified that no honorarium will be paid in cases where the interns work for less than 60 days.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENT:

  • Knowledge of various statutes, wage and salary calculations, budgeting techniques and conduct of disciplinary enquiries. Application of factory standing orders.
  • Contemporary recruitment processes, Compensation fitments, Manpower planning, Competency based recruitments and awareness of relevant HR software.

Position Summary:

The Compliance Professional is a knowledgeable compliance professional with familiarity with local and international legal compliance regulations, specifically with an interest in international anti-bribery and corruption (ABAC) laws. This individual will support the reinforcement of in-country compliance efforts as well as supporting the wider Compliance Global team. This position involves, providing advice and guidance on ABAC to internal Business Units, interacting with internal and external resources and providing proactive advice to the Director of Compliance on in-country ABAC matters. This position will directly report to the Compliance Director (EMEA) with a matrixed reporting to local India Legal Counsel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with Regional and Global Compliance function to ensure that in-country controls and procedures adhere to global framework and to maintain awareness of ABAC risks and threats
  • Managing the risk of third-party intermediaries via close coordination with business seeking to engage third parties
  • Provide support to management and business units regarding applicable ABAC laws and regulations
  • Assist the Director of Compliance and the Corporate Compliance team with day-to-day ABAC and related compliance matters including Risk Assessment, Audits, advisory support, Investigations and other matters
  • Provide support on issues requiring confidentiality, integrity and sensitivity whilst handling investigation matters
