THE CRIMINAL LAW BLOG – National Law University, Jodhpur

The Centre for Criminal Law Studies carries out intense research work in issues concerning to the Criminal Justice System in India. Following to its research decree, the Centre started The Criminal Law Blog in September 2018.

The Centre also organizes lectures on relevant socio-legal issues. Moreover, the Centre works in association with the national reputed institutions like the Bureau of Police Research and Development in organizing the focused training programs to the specific target group of police official Pursuant to its research mandate, the Centre started The Criminal Law Blog last year.

With the object of furthering discussion on criminal law, The Criminal Law Blog welcomes submissions from students, academicians, law practitioners, and every criminal law enthusiast. The area of criminal law is not restricted and the blog intends to publish entries coming from domestic as well as international criminal law.

GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

  1. The article should be an original work of the author and not under consideration for publication in any other journal or blog. The work should not be plagiarised.
  2. Co-authorship is allowed for the articles.
  3. We prefer an article that does not exceed 1,500. However, flexibility is allowed if the content so requires, and the quality is ensured.
  4. The content should be written in Times New Roman Font with a size of 12. Line Spacing is to be maintained at 1.5.
  5. All the relevant sources must be duly acknowledged and hyperlinked in the text of the submission itself.
  6. The article must be submitted in an MS-Word document to blog.ccls@gmail.com
  7. The article must include a brief description of the author; preferably, not more than two sentences.
  8. The authors are encouraged to provide a relevant photograph regarding the subject matter of the article if they wish a photographic preview in the blog-posts and social media updates.
  9. The authors shall receive an acknowledgement email on the receipt of the article by the Editorial Board. In case this does not happen, kindly re-send the article. Once the Editorial Board acknowledges the receipt of an article, it will go through a rigorous editorial process and the decision about its acceptance or rejection shall be communicated to the authors within 14 days.
  10. The copyright over the articles shall automatically transfer to the University through the Editorial Board. Therefore, all the articles shall be reposted to the University’s digital repository and shared on various social media platforms.
  11. However, we allow reposting of the published blog posts on other platforms. However, the second publication should be allowed only with the prior permission of the Editors. The second publication should duly acknowledge the publication on this blog. It may be done by stating that: [first posted on The Criminal Law Blog on dd/mm/yy].
  12. In relation to all the disputes, the decision of the Editorial Board shall be final and binding.
