National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi has been established to further the cause of legal education in its manifold spheres of knowledge, development, and dissemination.

About the CSRIPR

This Centre is founded in response to an escalating need felt by scientists, lawyers, technologists, and companies. The object was and still is, to gain thoughtful knowledge in patent, trademarks, design, and copyright law.

More in meticulous the CSRIPR wishes to gain a better insight and glimpse into new and evolving areas of intellectual property law (such as the protection of software, semi-conductor products and biotechnological inventions, standardization, and technology transfers) and the general problems of patents, trademarks, designs, and copyright.

To concertize these objects the CSRIPR will organize a manifold of activities on an interdisciplinary level. These activities include fundamental research, the gathering of documentation, organizing conferences, and scientific service to the community.

About the Internship

This internship will revolve around one month during the course of which students will be required to research upon nuances of Intellectual property law and other related fields in this realm. The students will be allotted one domain from IPR, as per their interest, which can be:

Artificial Intelligence

The internship is purely research-oriented and drafting-centric, revolving around the realm of Intellectual Property Rights concerns, and shall be conducted virtually as a work from the home initiative. During the course of the Internship, the interns will be required to prepare 3 well-researched articles on the topic assigned to them and submit them within the specified deadlines.

Eligibility

Applicants for this internship should be either pursuing their Undergraduate or Postgraduate Legal studies in a College/University recognized by the Bar Council of India or any other institution of prominence within India or Abroad.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The research papers should pertain to any of the sub-themes of the conference.
Participants shall be required to submit an abstract of around 350 words.
Abstract shall also contain, the name of the author/authors, email Id of the author/s, contact number and designation.
Acceptance of abstract will be communicated within 15 days after submission.
A payment link will be shared separately if the abstract is selected.
The full paper should not exceed 6000 words.
It shall be typed in Times New Roman, Font Size 12 on A4 size paper with 1” margin on all sides with 1.5 line spacing using MS Word.
Abstract and Research Papers should be emailed to cbltevents[at]rgnul.ac.in
Citations shall be strictly in accordance with the Bluebook (20th Edition).
University may publish accepted papers.
Publication of papers shall be the exclusive discretion of the University.

Job Description

The selected Law Clerk-cum-Research Assistant will get a unique opportunity to work at the Office of the Advocate General on a wide variety of cases, with a particular focus on research for matters impacting public policy. They will be
mentored by senior litigators and experienced lawyering from a public institutional perspective.

They will directly assist the Learned Advocate General/Addl. Advocates Generals/State Public Prosecutors/Government Advocates/High Court Government Pleaders or Public Prosecutors, as required. The role will also include regular interactions with government officials and other public servants.
