We organized 33rd All India InterUniversity Moot Court Competition jointly with the Bar Council of India in March and April 2017, “The NJY Memorial Asia Pacific Moot Court Competition, 2018” was organized from March 29 to April 1, 2018, and The NJ Y 4th Memorial National Moot Court Competition 2019 was organized during March 28 to 31, 2019, The NJ Y 5th Memorial Virtual Moot Court Competition 2020 was organized during October 16 to 18, 2020. “The NJY 6th Memorial International Virtual Moot Court Competition 2021 was organized from August 27th to 29th, 2021.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  1. These are the rules for the III JECRC Uttam Devi Mohanlal Khatuwaala Memorial National Moot Court Competition, 2022.
  2. The III JECRC Uttam Devi Mohanlal Khatuwaala Memorial National Moot Court Competition, 2022 will be held from August 13th to 16th 2022, at JECRC University Campus, Jaipur.
  3. The Organizing Committee (OC) shall function as the point of contact and any changes in the Rules of the Competition shall be notified by e-mail to all participating teams.
  4. The Competition shall be conducted in accordance with the rules mentioned hereunder. Participants are required to comply with the rules and procedures prescribed herein.
  5. The official e-mail for all correspondence concerning the Competition is ju.mootcourt@jecrcu.edu.in
  6. The students must be present in their formal uniform ie, a White shirt, Black trousers, Black Tie, and a Black Coat.
  7. Selection will be on a first come first basis as there will be limited seats.
  8. The language must be English in all the rounds.

ELIGIBILITY

Students of three-year or Five-year integrated law degree courses from any University/Law School/College/Department are eligible to participate in the Competition. However, a maximum of one Team shall be allowed to participate from any one University/Law School/College/Department.

TEAM COMPOSITION

  1. Each Team shall consist only of three members, comprising two speakers and one researcher.
  2. Any alteration of the names of the team members shall be informed through writing mail to ju.mootcourt@jecrcu.edu.in
  3. Once the Competition commences, the team composition cannot be altered under any circumstances whatsoever. The inability of any team member to participate in accordance with the rules of this Competition shall lead to immediate disqualification of the Team from the Competition.

About the ULC Moot Court Competition

The annual national-level moot court competition hosted by ULC is the flagship activity of the student body, the Society of Mooters. Upon continuing this legacy, the Society of Mooters is proud to present the 26th All India Moot Court Competition.

Eligibility

Undergraduate students pursuing a 3 or 5-year course of LL.B. degree in the academic year 2021-2022 from any law School/College/University recognized by the Bar Council of India are eligible to participate.

Team Composition

One team from each institution, comprising of a minimum of two (2) and not more than three (3) members, per institution, shall be eligible to participate in the Competition, subject to completion of Registration formalities.

Location

The 26th All India Moot Court Competition will take place in University Law College, Bangalore University, Bangalore from June 2 to June 4, 2022, subject to the prevailing situation of COVID-19.

About the Organizer

The NALSAR-UNHCR Public International Law Moot Court Competition

NALSAR has previously organized several premier moot court competitions and has witnessed the participation of the brightest brains in law schools around the country. In keeping with this tradition, the university is organizing the third edition of the NALSAR-UNHCR Public International Law Moot Court Competition with United Nations Human Rights Commission as the title sponsor and M.A.P. as associate partners.

The UNHCR’s initiatives and objective complement the objective of the moot to stir up research and amplify the participants’ interest in the emerging field of international law issues. The moot will be held on a virtual platform from July 15th – 17th, 2022

Eligibility

All students who are either enrolled in a 3-year LLB program or a 5-year integrated LLB program shall be eligible to participate.

Team Composition

Each team shall consist of only two speakers and one researcher. The teams may choose to participate without a Researcher, and therefore with two speakers, one of them may choose to appear as researcher in Researcher Test as in case of tie, the marks of researcher test may be considered to come to a conclusion. The teams will be assigned Team Codes by the Organizers.

Awards

  • Winners/Best Team – Trophy and  Prize worth equivalent to Rs.86,100 including cash prize Rs.5100/- (for team)
  • Runners up/Second – Best Team – Trophy and Prize worth equivalent to Rs.48,100 including cash prize Rs.3100/- (for team)
  • Best Mooter (on the basis of the performance in Preliminary Round) – Trophy and cash prize  Rs.1100
  • Best Memorial  – Trophy and cash prize Rs.1100
  • Best Researcher – Trophy and cash prize Rs.1100
  • All Participants shall be given Certificate of Participation, Kit & Memento.

  • The moot problem is available here.
  • In order to confirm participation, teams should register themselves. The teams must register on or before 12th April 2022. Registration Fees: Rs 2700/- per team (Early Bird Registration).
  • If team registers themselves in between 13th April – 20th April 2022, than registration fees is: Rs 3000/- per team.

  • Last date for raising clarifications regarding the Moot Problem April 12, 2022
