Roshan graduated from arguably the topmost law school in the country, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad completing his 5-year B.A. (Hons) LLB program in the year 2011. Subsequently, he pursued a full-time degree in MSc Criminal Justice from Oxford University, United Kingdom. Returning to his home country in 2012, Santhalia Law Chambers was set up to provide in-depth and intensively researched legal advice and representation to its clients.

Particular and special emphasis is provided on the execution of time-based assignments thereby providing credible legal opinion and services in a professional manner. The firm understands and appreciates the importance of providing “attention to detail” while preparing the case briefs/ legal drafts and therefore, immense importance is always attached to a meticulous and comprehensive analysis of case files and relevant judgments.

The firm presently enjoys an 1800 square feet office consisting of a well-equipped conference room for client conferences, cubicles for law associates and interns, a mini library consisting of all the leading commentaries and books on different areas of law etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Designation: Junior Counsel
2. No. of Position(s): 1 (one)
3. Qualification: Law graduates, however, preference would be given to either those in the top 20% of the graduating batch (If batch ranks are not available then percentage/GPA needs to be sent along with the batch size) or to those applicants who have won or have been runners-up during his law school in a reputed moot court competition.
4. Remuneration: Rs. 50,000/- per month + drafting incentives on the basis of the quality of drafts + expenses as per actuals. 
5. PQE: 0 – 2 years 
6. Working Hours: 9 AM to 8 PM (Monday to Saturday)
7. Location: Competent House, Connaught Place, New Delhi

Job Description

AP & Partners is looking for lawyers with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience for their corporate and M&A practice.

As a corporate lawyer with the firm, you will act on a wide range of transactions including inbound and outbound M&A transactions. The work profile would also include advising tech businesses and their promoters on fundraising and exit transactions, and regulatory advisory. This is a great opportunity for enthusiastic, ambitious and hardworking lawyers who are ready to take their careers to the next level.

Ideal candidates will have:

• a law degree from a leading Indian law school. An LLM from an international law school would be a plus;
• 3-5 years of post-qualification experience;
• experience in handling small/mid-size transactions and due diligence with limited supervision; and
• prior work experience with the corporate practice of a leading firm.

Tax litigation associate must have a general understanding of Taxation and legal concepts. They should have the ability to understand and analyze on the underlying issue of law. They should be well versed with the latest status of law, should be able to search case laws from portals such as Taxmann.com, Current tax reporters, etc. They must have good writing and analytical skills. Moreover, they should show a constant zeal and desire to learn and update in taxation and related matters.

Key Responsibility Area:

1. Research and analysis of case laws.
2. Assisting Partners & Senior Associates in the preparation of Taxation & related laws matters before AO, CIT(A), ITAT, High Court, and Supreme Court.
3. Coordinating with the client for appeal filing & preparation of paper books /(LOD) List of documents & written submissions
4. Managing various Tax & withholding compliance.
5. Providing advisory and consultancy to clients on time to time basis.
6. Assisting partner & Senior associates on various proposals and business development

Skills:

About the job

The ideal candidate will be responsible for loan contracts and related compliances as well as Legal proceedings. Professional will have to adhere to legal policies and processes outlined for NBFC’s regulators.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and processing Loan agreement template designs.

Roles and Responsibilities

We are looking to hire one legal Research her on a full-time basis in the area of land and property rights. The position is based in Mumbai. 

Job description 

NCAER is currently engaged in a project on land tenure security. You would be expected to provide legal research inputs for this project. This includes understanding the current legal landscape in India on a specific question/field, researching on experience in other jurisdictions, and outlining the possibilities for policy change in the Indian context. 

Qualification, Experience and Demonstrated Skills 

1. You must have a bachelor’s degree in law (LLB). 
2. Prior work experience would be desirable.
3. Very strong written and spoken English.
4. Experienced in the use of office software such as MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point. 
5. Being comfortable using various open-source programs like LaTeX would be advantageous. While prior knowledge of these programs is not necessary, you must be willing to learn these once you join.
6. You should have your own laptop and have internet access as this work will be essentially to be done from your home.  
7. You must be comfortable in working in an inter disciplinary research environment with people from varying backgrounds such as economics, law, public policy and data science. You must be curious and passionate about research and must be willing to work on independent outputs as well as in teams.
8. You will be reporting for work to a consultant based in Mumbai, working with NCAER, or any other officer designated by NCAER. If necessary, depending on the requirements, you may also need to work in the office of the consultant.

Compensation

A salary that is competitive and commensurate with the experience of the right candidate.
