About the Responsibilities  

The Office of State Information Commissioner, MP, is currently accepting applications for an internship opportunity during the months of August and September for students majoring in law or humanities.

The interns would be expected to conduct research to support the adjudicatory process, communicate with appellants and officers, prepare case briefs, and support the process of live and online hearings of his Court. They would also be exposed to various topics relating to RTI, the Indian Constitution, the Public Records Act, Official Secrets Act, and related laws.

Once the interns arrive at the office, they will be informed of the specifics of their work. All students with a strong interest in the Right to Information Act, 2005 are eligible for the internship. About the Organization

The Court’s independent Office of Public Counsel for the Defence (OPCD) is devoted exclusively to the Defense’s activities. The OPCD, which was established in accordance with Regulation 77 of the Regulations of the Court, works to advance, defend, and represent the Defence while bringing defense-related matters to the public’s attention. The OPCD monitors all cases on a daily basis in order to build a collective defence memory and resource centre. The International Criminal Court (ICC) looks into cases of genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and crimes of aggression and, where necessary, brings individual accusations against those defendants to trial. The Court is a participant in the worldwide effort to abolish impunity, and via the use of international criminal justice, the Court seeks to both hold those guilty of crimes accountable and contribute to their prevention. As an intern you are required to:-

Remuneration

Please be aware that ICC professional placements during visits and internships are not financed. The Internship and Visiting Professional Program participants are not eligible for any compensation from the ICC, and there is no way to get paid for expenses incurred before, during, or after the internship or visiting professional placement. Therefore, candidates must be financially independent throughout their internship or temporary professional placement. The ICC’s Trust Fund for the Development of Interns and Visiting Professionals, which accepts contributions from States Parties and other donors, may offer a small amount of funding, though. As long as funding is available, the Human Resources Section shall promote a supported job opening in accordance with the donors’ agreed-upon Trust Fund terms of reference.

  • Education: All applicants must hold an advanced degree in law (L.L.M. or J.D.) or be in their last year of law school at an accredited university, having completed coursework in public international law, international humanitarian law, international criminal law, and/or human rights. Candidates must have a strong history of academic achievement.
  • Understanding of Languages: It is necessary to be proficient in either French or English, the Court’s working languages. A basic understanding of the other is preferred. An advantage is having knowledge of one of the Court’s other official languages, such as Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish.
  • Other requirements: Gender equality and diversity are priorities for the Court. Nationals of non-represented and under-represented nations at the ICC are also encouraged to apply, in keeping with the ICC’s attempts to promote geographical representation among personnel.

A statutory authority of the Indian government, the Competition Commission of India (CCI), is in charge of upholding The Competition Act, 2002 across the country and stopping actions that would materially harm competition there. It was started on October 14th, 2003.

About the Responsibilities  

The usual CCI internship programme has been temporarily discontinued due to the Covid-19 epidemic. The Commission will, however, continue its online internship through August 2022 for the benefit of students after July 2022.

Only qualified candidates whose applications were received by the first of the preceding month (for example, for the internship in July 2022, application should be received by the first of June 2022, for the internship in August 2022, application should be received by the first of July 2022, and for the internship in September 2022, application should be received by the first of August 2022) will be taken into consideration.Future internships will follow the same schedule.

As an intern you are required to:-

  • The shortlisted candidates will be paired with CCI officers who will serve as their mentors and advisers.
  • The contact information for their mentors and guides will be given to the interns so they can stay in regular communication with them to do the tasks allocated to them.
  • The mentor or guide will set the length of the online internship based on the tasks given.
  • The Advocacy Division of CCI will organise an online orientation session for selected students in the first week of the month, and a review meeting will be held in the second week of the month through virtual mode.
