About the Organisation

The National University of Advanced Legal Studies is a uni-disciplinary university in Kochi, India for undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate legal education. It is the only National Law University in the state of Kerala. 

The Centre for Parliamentary Studies and Law Reforms (CPSLR) has been set up with an objective to make the legislation more effective for social transformation and to achieve social justice by equitable administration of law.

About the NUALS IBC e-Newsletter

In order to carry forward the objectives of the Centre, an e-Newsletter focusing on the law relating to Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 was introduced in 2018. Eleven volumes of the e-Newsletter have been published to date. The main objective behind the e-Newsletter is to disseminate knowledge relating to the current affairs in the field of IBC.

The e-Newsletter includes, without limitation, the analysis of the recent landmark judgments (national or international), legislative amendments, circulars, rules, regulations, relating to IBC. The e-Newsletter also perceives to include interviews from reputed legal professionals practising in the field of IBC, and articles from students and academicians. 

Article Submissions for the 12th and 13th Editions of the NUALS IBC e-Newsletter

The Editorial team of the NUALS IBC e-Newsletter is pleased to invite original and unpublished manuscripts for the 12th and 13th Volumes of the e-Newsletter from academicians, professionals and law students. 

The contributions must deal with a contemporary issue of insolvency and bankruptcy law or corporate restructuring law. The article must provide the author’s novel take on the issue.

Submission Procedure and Guidelines

  • The word limit for articles shall be 1000 to 1500 words. (excluding footnotes)Submissions shall be in (.docx) format.
  • Main text: Garamond, font size 12, line spacing 1.5.
  • References should be hyperlinked wherever necessary. If online sources are not present, endnotes must be used.
  • Endnotes: Garamond, font size 10, line spacing 1.0. (endnotes should be avoided and kept to a bare minimum).
  • Style of citation: Bluebook 21st Edition.
  • Co-authorship is allowed to a maximum of 2 authors.
  • The selected contributions will be published and all such contributions will be acknowledged in the e-Newsletter.
  • Plagiarism will lead to disqualification of the contribution.

How to Submit?

Submissions must be made in the electronic form to nualsibcnewsletter@gmail.com, with the subject as: “Submission: IBC e-Newsletter 12th/13th Volume” (depending on which Volume the author is seeking publication in). 

The body of the email shall contain details of the author (full name, semester, university affiliated with, and contact number). 

Please do not include any details of the author in the article.

Submission Deadline

All articles intended for publication in the 12th and 13th Volumes of the Newsletter are to be submitted by 11.59 PM (IST) on February 28, 2022.

About the Centre

The Centre for Environmental Legal Studies [CELS] was established by the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab in 2016 as a research centre tasked with the responsibility of undertaking and encouraging discourse on the wide array of enviro-legal issues faced by humanity, at a domestic, regional and international level.

CELS seeks to collaborate with various experts, leading academicians, legislators, and government authorities to raise awareness of environmental concerns and advance legal remedies for the same, while also endeavouring to contribute to the complex and multi-dimensional issues of enviro-legal policy in India.

The CELS Enviro-Legal Blog is an egalitarian space that aims to foster critical interdisciplinary research on environmental developments across the world via inviting original contributions by the legal fraternity. The objective is to stir and promote discussion and discourse between various stakeholders in the field of environmental jurisprudence.

It intends to provide an accessible forum for relevant, well-researched, and edited scholarly articles. The blog will be stationed on contribution basis where the cognitive analysis of the contributors will be published for public discussion.

Call for Articles

The CELS Enviro-Legal Blog invites articles on a rolling basis on contemporary environmental issues. Under exceptional circumstances, the editorial board may accept write-ups that revisit significant yet dormant issues, if they provide a unique and novel perspective or have paradigm scope for discussion.

The contributions must include high- quality interdisciplinary and legal analysis of environmental issues, case laws, legislation and policy-making, and activism. Quality of research and adherence to the submission guidelines are quintessential requirements for acceptance.

Eligibility 

The CELS Enviro-Legal Blog invites articles from students, environment law researchers, academicians, practitioners, members of civil society organizations and policymakers. 

Submission Guidelines

  1. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
  2. The title of the manuscript should indicate the sub-theme that has been chosen by the author(s).
  3. The word limit for the submission shall be 800-1200words, accompanied by an abstract of not more than 150 words. The word limit is exclusive of endnotes and abstract.
  4. Co-authorship to a maximum of two authors, of the same or different institutions, is permissible.
  5. The body of the manuscript should be in Times New Roman, font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing. The endnotes should be in Times New Roman, font size 10 with single line spacing. The text alignment should be justified.
  6. Ensure that the title of the document has been renamed to the title of the post [without any personal detail of the author(s)].
  7. Referencing and citations must be put up in the form of in text hyperlinks for internet sources.
  8. Endnotes for offline sources shall adhere to Bluebook (20th Edition) citation format.
  9. Submissions should include the manuscript in .doc or .docx format. The manuscript should not contain the name of the author or his/ her institutional affiliation or any other identification mark.
  10. Along with the manuscript, a separate cover letter in .doc or .docx format has to be attached. The Cover letter should contain the name of the author, professional information, the title of the manuscript, contact information, a short bio about the author(s).
  11. Authors must also indicate their academic qualifications including their year of study or degree(s) completed and the name of the university/ institution to which they are affiliated.
  12. Manuscript shall be sent along with the Declaration form(provided below) stating that the manuscript is an original and a bona fide work of the author(s) and they undertake to divest the copyright of the work to The CELS Enviro-Legal Blog, if accepted for publication.The Declaration form is available here as declaration form.
  13. Submissions shall be emailed to cels@rgnul.ac.in under the subject heading “Submission for CELS Blog”.

About the University

The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, was established by the State Legislature of Punjab by passing the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab Act, 2006 (Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006). About the Centre

The Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution, RGNUL (CADR-RGNUL) was established in the year 2018 as a Centre dedicated to research and capacity-building in ADR. One of the foremost aims was to fill voids that plague existing literature and bridge the often daunting gap between the academia and practicalities of a career in ADR.

The CADR Blog is aimed at integrating insights from the professional and the academic world. To that extent, the Blog publishes articles on contemporary issues plaguing and developing in ADR.

Call for Blogs

The CADR Blog runs on a rolling basis and accepts articles for submission throughout the year, and are pleased to invite submissions on all topics related to ADR in the form of articles, case comments etc.

General Submission Guidelines

  • Co-authorship is limited to a maximum of two authors.
  • All submissions must be in Times New Roman or Garamond, font size 12, and Spacing 1.5.
  • The Word limit for all submissions is between 800 – 1500 words. This stipulation is, however, flexible at the Editor’s discretion in exceptional cases.
  • All entries should be submitted in .doc or .docx format.
  • The submissions must be original, unpublished, and an outcome of the author’s own efforts. Any submission to the CADR Blog automatically includes a declaration to the effect of “The article is an original work of the author(s). I(We) certify that my(our) submission is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under review or consideration elsewhere.”
  • Authors must acknowledge and give due reference to any source. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited, and articles found to be plagiarized will not be considered for publication.
  • On submission, authors shall be deemed to have divested the copyright to CADR. However, all moral rights shall vest with the author(s).

Submission Process

  • The CADR Editorial Board has a strict double-blind review process. For an understanding of the process, we encourage listening to this podcast here.
  • At the outset, the authors are requested to send manuscripts which are original and unpublished. In case plagiarism is detected, the Editorial Board has the right to reject the submission. Due credit must be given, to the best of the authors’ abilities, to all who have ideated the content the authors have submitted.
  • All submissions must be accompanied by an abstract of preferably 100–150 words, and at no time more than 200 words, briefly explaining the crux of the submission/the research question/focus of commentary or analysis and if possible, the structure of the submission.
  • All submissions should be in .doc or .docx format.

Legal Aid Society, LC-II adopts a hybrid approach to the skimming review process. The Blog’s prominent editors purport maximum discretion to the rejection or acceptance of any submission.

The Centre for Cyber Laws has been established to understand the socio-legal issues related to ever-evolving cyberspace. Cyberspace is infinite and has the potential to grow and evolve infinitely. The issues related to cyberspace are also evolving with the advancement of information technology.

About CIIPR

CIIPR is a recent initiative of RGNUL, Punjab under the able leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Naresh Kumar Vats with an aim to provide education and training opportunities in the field of IPR and also foster research activities amongst the student body.

Law and Tech Times invites blogs on a rolling basis on contemporary issues related to Technology Laws.

Under exceptional circumstances, the editorial board may accept pieces that revisit important issues that may have gone dormant, if they provide a unique and novel perspective or have renewed scope for discussion.

  • All submissions must be in Times New Roman, font size 12, spacing 1.5.
  • Margins:
    • Left 1.5 Inch,
    • Right 1 Inch,
    • Top 1 Inch, and
    • Bottom 1 Inch.
  • Word limit for each post is 1500 words.
  • The relevant sources should be hyperlinked within the article itself.
  • Sources of which no link could be provided must be mentioned at the end under bibliography.
  • The manuscript should be accompanied by a cover letter specifying the author’s name, designation, institute, contact number, and email for future reference. [Authors are requested to not put their name anywhere in the main manuscript].

  • The language has to be politically neutral and not conflicting with the general guidelines.
  • Language used shouldn’t be abusive or result in disrepute of any third person.
  • They don’t accept plagiarized content and in case of gross plagiarism found in the contents of the submitted manuscript, the manuscript shall be subject to rejection.
  • Copyright of all blog posts shall remain with Law & Tech Times.
  • All moral rights shall vest with the author(s).
  • The manuscripts not abiding to the above guidelines are liable to be rejected.

About the Restructuring and Insolvency Law Journal (RILJ)

The Centre for Parliamentary and Legal Studies (CPSLR), NUALS, brings to you the Restructuring and Insolvency Journal of Law, an erudite publication and discussion forum especially designed to examine both the practical and theoretical issues and opinions in this increasingly important area of law which is of significant concern to the members within and outside the corporate world. 

It will be a platform to keep its readers abreast of various important topics of interest and current developments and trends in this dynamic field. The RILJ is also the platform to publish our flagship IBC e-Newsletter.

The introduction of IBC E-Newsletter, a student-run peer-reviewed publication in late 2018, was the first successful step towards consolidating and providing quarterly updates in the insolvency and bankruptcy regime. It is exclusively dedicated to analyse the developments relating to the field of insolvency, restructuring and bankruptcy happening in India as well as around the globe.

Submissions for the RILJ Blog

The submissions are accepted on a rolling basis for the RILJ Blog.  The blogs, as accepted by us, will be published on the RILJ website. The Editorial Board will be issuing a different call for articles for the next edition of the newsletter (Edn. 12).  

Topic

The contributions must deal with a contemporary issue of insolvency and bankruptcy law or corporate restructuring law. The article must analyse a novel, yet a contemporary issue.

Submission Procedure and Guidelines

Submissions are welcome on a rolling basis on the areas pertaining to insolvency law, bankruptcy law and restructuring. Articles on national and international insolvency law are welcome. The guidelines are as follows:

  • The blog shall not be accepting entries that fall outside our interest area and be rejected without a detailed review of the piece.
  • Submissions must be unpublished, authentic and original work of the author/authors.
  • Submission can be in the form of articles, case comments, opinions and short notes on the topics as mentioned above.
  • The co-authorship of the submission is limited to only 2 (two) authors.
  • The word limit for the contribution is 1000 to 1500. (excluding endnotes)
  • Submissions shall be in (.docx) format.
  • References should be hyperlinked wherever necessary. In case the cited material does not have an online source or online copy, endnotes must be used (NOT FOOTNOTES).
  • Main text: Garamond, font size 12, line spacing 1.5.
  • Endnotes: Garamond, font size 10, line spacing 1.0. (endnotes should be avoided and kept to a bare minimum). Style of citation: Bluebook 20th Edition.
  • The submissions shall be sent for plagiarism check after the initial review process, confirming to which only shall they finally be published. The plagiarism shall not be more than 15% of the submission entry, and any level of plagiarism higher to the accepted mark will lead to disqualification of the contribution.

About SAAEW

The Society for the Advancement of Animal and Environmental Welfare (SAAEW) was conceived in 2017 under the aegis of National Law University Odisha, Cuttack to create affirmative discourse on issues related to animal and environmental welfare.

The goal of this Society is to promote greater academic discussion and create a dialogue on the marginalized rights of animals and the environment. The Society through informed dialogue aims to identify those facets of animal and environmental law which require constant consideration in this era.

The NLUO Blog for Animal and Environmental Jurisprudence and Rights (AEJR) aims to encourage academic discourse on environmental and animal law. SAAEW, through this blog intends to crystallize legal thought on the latest developments in animal and environmental laws both internationally and in the Indian context.

The blog accepts the legal analysis of current global issues pertaining to animal and environmental welfare, case laws, legislations and the new policies concerned around the blog’s theme. Acceptance is contingent on the quality of the study as well as adherence to the submission standards.

Theme

The blog welcomes original submissions on contemporary issues in ‘Animal and Environmental Jurisprudence’.

Eligibility

The NLUO Blog for Animal and Environmental Jurisprudence and Rights welcomes original submissions from students, researchers, academicians, practitioners, policy makers and individuals who associate themselves with our cause.

Submission Guidelines

The Blog accepts submissions on a rolling basis.

  • The submissions have to be unpublished and should be the original work of the author(s).
  • Co-authorship of up to two authors is permitted.
  • There must be no hint, whatsoever, of the authors’ identity in the word document submitted.
  •  We invite submissions from the following categories
    • Short Articles, which report on the results of new research in legal developments in relation to Environmental or Animal Rights Law (up to 2000 words);
    • Opinion pieces, which advance a personal viewpoint on a current issue or debate in Environmental or Animal Rights Law (700-1200 words);
    • Legislative Comments, which addresses a specific policy document and draft legislations which affects public interest (up to 2000 words)
    • Case Comments, which reports on specific cases in Environmental or Animal Rights Law (up to 2000 words)
    • Book Reviews, which critically analyses legal texts which concern Environmental or Animal Rights Law (up to 1500 words)
  • Word limits are indicative only. Authors are invited to stay within them to enhance the effectiveness of their submissions. Longer posts may be accepted and published in parts subject to the discretion of the Editorial Board. The word limit is exclusive of the endnotes (if any). The citation format used for the endnotes must be uniform, preferably in the latest edition of Bluebook.
  • Once posted on the Blog’s website, a submission may be cross-posted on other platforms. The cross-post must carry the words ‘First posted on AEJR’, with a link to the post.
  • All submissions must be in Times New Roman, font size 12 and line spacing 1.5.
  • Endnotes must be in Times New Roman, Bluebook 20th Edition Format, font size 10 and line spacing 1.0.

The USLLS ADR Blog is an initiative of the University School of Law of Legal Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The team at USLLS ADR Blog believes that sustained academic deliberation is required to ensure that the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution Law grows continuously, and becomes the mainstream solution to disputes.

The objective of this blog is to provide a conducive platform that fosters discussions and deliberations pertaining to the field of ADR by academicians, researchers, law students and legal practitioners.

The Advisory Board of the Blog consists of extremely accomplished individuals in the field of ADR so as to enable the Blog to ensure that the viewpoints of the various stakeholders are addressed through the holistic functioning of the Blog.

Submission Guidelines

All submissions pertaining to the field of ADR, subject to the following guidelines are welcome:

  1. Co-authorship up to two authors is allowed. Refrain from mentioning the name, institutional affiliation, or any other detail of the author(s) in the document to facilitate the double-blind review process.
  2. Submissions should be original and unpublished work of the author(s). Any form of plagiarism will result in an automatic rejection. Moreover, if the Turnitin similarity index reports over 20% similarity (after making the relevant exclusions such as bibliography, quotes, small matches etc.), then the submission shall be rejected. 
  3. Submissions should be concise. They should range between 1000-2000 words. Longer posts may be published in parts subject to editorial board’s discretion. The word limit is exclusive of endnotes.

Review Process

  • All submissions are put through a rigorous double-blind review process where they are evaluated by two editors on different parameters.
  • The review process usually concludes within 14 days from the date of receipt of the acknowledgement of the submission.
  • Once the review is complete, the decision of acceptance (conditional or unconditional) or rejection is communicated to the author.
  • The authors will be provided 10 days to make the necessary changes that may be suggested by the editorial board. It is expected that the authors will make all changes in good faith. 

Upon acceptance of the manuscript for publication by the editorial board, the copyright over the manuscript shall vest in the Blog. However, the moral rights over the manuscript shall vest in the author(s).

The Blog only accepts exclusive publications. Once a manuscript is accepted, the same can not be published elsewhere.

Review Policy

Legal Aid Society, LC-II adopts a hybrid approach to the skimming review process. Our prominent editors purport maximum discretion to the rejection or acceptance of any submission.

The author(s) should be called upon to undergo or alter the semantics, or any recollection to be made, if any, for successful publication.
