About ICLR 

CCLP was established as an initiative to promote interdisciplinary research in the field of competition lawand policymaking.Asapart of this initiative,CCLP publishes its flagship journal, ICLR. ICLR serves as a platform for understanding existing trends as well as setting out new ideas. 

The previous editions of the journal have received manuscripts from many distinguished legal luminaries, practicing lawyers, law professors, Ph.D. scholars, and law students from all over the  country and abroad. After having celebrated the immense success of the last edition, we are pleased to announce the call for papers for Volume VIII Issue II of the ICLR. CONTRIBUTION GUIDELINES 

Theme of the Issue 

The overarching theme of this issue is “Navigating New Frontiers: Rethinking Conventional  Standards in Competition Law”. Any other article not under the preview of the  aforementioned theme may also be accepted subject to the discretion of the board.  

Eligibility and Word Limit 

• The manuscript may be co-authored by a maximum of two authors. • The journal accepts the following kinds of submissions: 

o Articles – 5,000 to 10,000 words. 

o Short notes – 2,500 to 5,000 words. 

o Case Comments – 1,500 to 2,500 words 

These word counts are exclusive of footnotes. The Editorial Board reserves the right to increase orrelax the word limit, depending on the quality of the submission. 

Submission Guidelines 

• The mail bearing the manuscript must declare, in its body, the category for which the submission is made, i.e. article/short notes/case comment. 

• The body of the manuscript should be in Garamond, font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing.  The footnotes should be in Garamond, font size 10 with single line spacing

• The manuscripts should be properly footnoted wherever sources are being used. The use of endnotes, hyperlinks, etc. is strictly prohibited. Further, no speaking footnotes (descriptive footnotes) are allowed. 

• All the sources in the footnotes must conform to the Oxford University Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA) 4th ed. style of citation

• The manuscripts must be preceded by an abstract of not more than 250 words. • The manuscript must not contain any reference to the author’s name, affiliation or credentials. 

• All manuscripts must be accompanied by a cover letter with the name(s) of the author(s), institution/affiliation, the title of the manuscript, and contact details. The author must also confirm in the cover letter that the manuscript is not being considered for publication

elsewhere. 

• The manuscript must be an original and unpublished work. 

• If necessary, ICLR may request the author to provide a printed copy of the manuscript, in addition to the electronic copy. 

Editorial Policy 

• The submission indicates the Author(s)’ acceptance to the following conditions: • The work, upon publication, becomes a property of NLUJ; and 

• Any subsequent publication/reprint and/or derivative works are permitted, subject to prior approval of the ICLR. 

• The ICLR follows three stages of blind peer-review procedure and shall endeavor to keep the authors informed about the status of their manuscript as it goes through each stage of review. 

• ICLR retains complete discretion over acceptance/rejection of manuscripts. The Editorial Board of ICLR shall not entertain requests for advance decisions based on abstracts, topic proposals or outlines. Editorial decisions shall be based solely on review of the final manuscripts  submitted by the authors. 

• Post-review, manuscripts may be returned to the authors with suggestions related to  substance and/or style. Acceptance of a manuscript for publication shall be made contingent on incorporation of such suggestions. 

• ICLR reserves the right to request copies of any resources or authorities cited in the manuscript. 

Submission Procedure 

• The last date for submission of manuscripts is October 10, 2023. Subject to the outcome of  the review process, the manuscript will feature in the upcoming Issue which is scheduled for publication in December, 2023

• All manuscripts must be sent through email and addressed to the Editor-in Chief at cclp@nlujodhpur.ac.in. 

• The subject of the email should be titled – “Volume VIII(2)_ICLR Submission_Name of  the Author(s)”.

• The name of the document must be in the following format – 

“Name of the Author(s) – Title of Submission”

• The Authors are advised to send only one submission per author or a team of co-authors.

• The manuscript must be submitted in a Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format only. All queries may be addressed to the editorial board at cclp@nlujodhpur.ac.in

ABOUT THE EVENT

SGT University, as a part of its endeavours of providing and facilitating its support to the student community of the Country takes immense pleasure in announcing the 7th SGTU National Moot Court Competition 2023 in collaboration with Competition Commission of India. The event shall be held on 27th – 29th October, 2023.

ELIGIBILITY

1)    Students enrolled in a 3-year Law programme in India or in an integrated 5-year Law programme in India are eligible for the competition.

2)  The University must be approved by the Bar Council of India.

REGISTRATION

The Registration process of the teams will begin from 01st September, 2023. The Registration process shall end on 28th September, 2023 by 23:59 IST. The prescribed fee for the competition is INR 5,000/- only. FEE ONCE PAID WILL NOT BE REFUNDED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

About the Event

The Centre for Comparative Constitutional Law & Administrative Law and the Constitutional Law Society at National Law University Jodhpur are delighted to announce a joint initiative – a National Seminar titled ‘Constitutionalism in Contemporary Times’ to be held virtually (CISCO WEBEX) on 23–24th September 2023. The deadline for the abstract submission is 14th August 2023. This seminar aims to provide a platform for legal scholars, practitioners, academicians and students to engage in thoughtful discussions and deliberations on pressing contemporary issues within constitutional law. By bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise, the seminar seeks to foster an enriching exchange of ideas, critical analysis and novel insights into the evolving landscape of constitutional jurisprudence.

Objectives of Seminar

The objectives of the seminar are as follows:·

  • To promote an enriching discussion and discourse on contemporary issues in the field of constitutional law.
  • To encourage comprehensive research and understanding of the evolution of Constitutional issues over time.
  • To impart and expand the knowledge of students and scholars on various issues and a critical understanding of the same.

The Journal gives a platform to intellectuals to share their knowledge and expertise with society at large.

(GLJ) invite academicians and professionals to contribute research papers, case comments, articles and book reviews for its forthcoming issue.

General Guidelines

  1. Selection shall be done on the basis of a Blind Refereed Review. The decision of the Editorial Advisory Board and the Institute shall be final and binding. 
  2. The contribution must be original, neither published nor under consideration for publication anywhere else. 
  3. The cover page is to contain the title of the paper, author’s name, designation, official address, contact phone, and email address. In case of multiple authors, the cover page should indicate the author to whom correspondence should be addressed. 
  4. An abstract of not more than 200-250 words along with five keywords, in alphabetical order, is to be attached.
  5. The main text is not to contain the author(s) name or affiliation. 
  6. The author(s) are to submit a duly filled copyright form/claim of originality in a prescribed format. 
  7. After publication, the author(s) will receive one copy of the journal. 

Formatting Guidelines

  1. The length of a full paper should be 3000- 5000 words (15-20 pages). The author(s) are to submit one hard copy of the manuscript on an A4 sheet along with one soft copy in MS Word. The soft copy of the contribution is to be sent by email attachment to glj@gitarattan.edu.in.
  2. Use British spellings throughout: ‘programme’ not ‘program’, ‘organisation’ not ‘organization’, ‘behaviour’ not ‘behaviour’. 
  3. References are to be given separately at the end of the manuscript and the entries should be arranged alphabetically. The word ‘References’ should appear as a heading.
  4. For citation and references, the Indian Law Institute, (ILI) Rule of footnoting should be followed. The author may freely access the website of the Indian Law Institute http://www.ili.ac.in/footnoting12.pdf  for footnoting.
  5. Footnote on the first page is to bear Designation, Institution, email address; Font size: 8; Running. 
  6. Sub-part, if any, are to be serially numbered in lowercase English alphabets as (a), (b), (c), (d) and unbold. Any further sub-parts are to be serially numbered in small Roman numerals (i), (ii), (iii), (iv) and un-bold. 
  7. Margin on all four sides is to be 1 inch.

About the Institute

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU) is a public law school and a National Law University located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established as Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law Institute in 2005, and since then, has been providing undergraduate and post-graduate legal education. About the Journal

RMLNLU Law Review (‘Journal’) is an annual peer-reviewed journal published by the Journal Committee of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow which seeks to provide numerous insights and views into contemporary legal issues and encourages conversations about the same. The RMLNLU Law Review runs parallel to the RMLNLU Law Journal on CMET (Communications, Media, Entertainment, and Technology).

After having celebrated thirteen years of immense success and acclaim as a reputed Journal, we are pleased to announce the call for papers for Volume XIV of the RMLNLU Law Review. The Editorial Board of the Law Review works in close collaboration with an Advisory Board to select articles for publication.   • The submissions may be on any contemporary legal issue. The authors are expected to adhere to the prescribed word limit (excluding footnotes and abstract), as indicated above.
  • Each of these entries shall be required to conform to the set of guidelines that follow.
  • An abstract of about 250-300 words and 5 keywords should be mandatorily included in the same Word document as a part of the submission.
  • The title should be Bold, Underlined, in Capitals, Size 16, and Centre Aligned.
  • Headings should be Bold, in Capitals, Size 14, and left-aligned.
  • The contents should in no way, directly or indirectly, indicate or reference the identity of the author(s).
  • Co-Authorship to a maximum of two members is allowed. However, co-authorship is not allowed in “book reviews” and “case-notes/comments”.
  • Please note that all submissions must adhere to a strict plagiarism limit of 33%, as any papers exceeding this threshold will be automatically rejected.

How to Submit?

  • The submissions may be emailed at lawreview.rmlnlu[at]gmail.com in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  • The name of the attached submission in the email, i.e., the name of the document must be the name(s) of the author(s). Please note that only one submission per author or a team of co-authors is permissible. In case of more than one submission, only the one received first would be considered for review.
  • The subject title for the mail must be ‘Article/Essay/Case Comment/Book Review for Volume XIV’.

General Instructions

  • The submission must exhibit originality in thought, critical evaluation, and careful interpretations. Submission of a paper shall be taken to imply that it is an unpublished work and is not being considered for publication elsewhere.
  • The author(s) must include the cover letter in the body of the mail, which must contain all the relevant biographical details (Name of the author(s), their degrees, Designation, Name of College/University/Institution, Postal Address, Phone Number and Email ID). A separate attachment for a cover letter shall not be entertained.
  • Editors’ decision shall be final and binding. They reserve the sole rights to the publication of the selected articles in addition to; inter alia, any edits/amends/reproduction. The contributions presented to and accepted for publication and the copyrights therein shall be the intellectual property of the Journal Committee, RMLNLU.
