We are looking for a Legal Content Writer to join our editorial team and enrich our websites with
new blog posts, guides and marketing copy.
Content Writer responsibilities include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics,
generating ideas for new content types and proofreading articles before publication. If you’re
familiar with producing online content and have an eye for detail, we’d like to meet you. Feel free
to share samples of your work or portfolio of your published articles, along with your
application.

Ultimately, you’ll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers
and boost brand awareness.

Responsibilities

● Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
● Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
● Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems
● Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
● Submit work to editors for input and approval
● Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
● Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
● Promote content on social media
● Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
● Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
● Update website content as needed

Requirements

● Portfolio of published articles
● Experience doing research using multiple sources
● Familiarity with web publications
● Excellent writing and editing skills in English
● Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
● Ability to meet deadlines

The website is also providing a platform to budding young law students and advocates to publish their articles and to access quality information. This website is accessed by judicial officers, senior lawyers, law students, advocates, etc. We are consistently working to create affordable, high standard particulars on Judgments, articles and legislations.

About the Internship:

IndicLegal.com has started its online internship programme calling for Content Writers and Editors. The internship will be purely research-based where the candidate will be required to research upon different subjects of law and accordingly write articles, research papers, and case-notes. The interns may also be asked to report on day-to-day judgments from various courts. The editors will review the work done by the interns. It will also be the task of the editors to assign topics and check up on all the tasks allotted by them to their respective interns.

The internship will be online.

The candidates will be provided with proper guidance with respect to the tasks assigned to them.

Tasks of the Interns:

1. Research on topics of law assigned to them

2. Writing Articles, essays and short notes.

3. Reporting on Judgments

Task of the editors:

1. Assign topics to their interns.

2. Manage the interns working under them.

3. Check the work completed by their respective interns.

Duration

2 Months (60 Days) (May extend according to the needs of the Intern as well as the Organisation)

Eligibility For Interns:

The internship program is mainly for law students from 1st to 5th year of five-year integrated LLB program. Only those students should apply who are comfortable doing work from home.

For Editors:

The internship program is mainly for law students from 3rd to 5th year of five-year integrated LLB program. Editors must have previous experience in handling content writing tasks.
