About the Responsibilities
In order to support Amazon Web Services, the most comprehensive and widely used cloud platform in the world, which offers cloud computing and IT services in areas like compute, storage, databases, the internet of things, machine learning, quantum technologies, robotics, as well as providing training, digital transformation consulting, and more, Amazon’s Legal Department is seeking a talented commercial transaction lawyer based in New Delhi or Bangalore.
As an intern you are required to:-
- The primary purpose of this Associate Corporate Counsel will be to assist the AWS marketing and commercial development teams in India. The chosen applicant will be in charge of negotiating and drafting. and counselling on cloud IT service agreements with a wide range of clients, including startups and enterprises, as well as with our partner IT companies, support for regional marketing, training, and consulting activities related to digital transformation, and acting as a mentor for senior management and other members of the business team. In addition to managing legal difficulties that arise in ongoing business relationships and complex regulatory challenges, the function also involves engaging in other Amazon legal projects as required.
- The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, passionate about technology, love working hard and being constantly pushed, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and exercise solid judgement even in uncertain circumstances.

- UD or equivalent) from a prestigious law school
authorised to practise law in India, the US, the UK, or other common law countries.
- 3+ years of legal experience; individuals with greater experience should still submit applications
- Experience in transactional writing and negotiating achieved at a preeminent law firm or internally at a significant multinational organisation.
- proficiency in spoken and written English at the professional level
- internal experience working for a tech firm or a tech-focused law firm. familiarity with outsourcing, service agreements, and IT/technology licencing
- Comprehension of privacy and intellectual property competitiveness challenges.
