IGNIS, The debating society of VSLLS, VIVEKANANDA INSTITUTE OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES is organizing a virtual international debate competition on August 4 and 5, 2022

ABOUT THE DEBATE COMPETITION

VIPS is inviting interested and eligible candidates for the international debate competition to be held on August 4 and 5, 2022

THEME

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND DATA BREACH

ELIGIBILITY

The competition is open to all the college students from across the globe
Students enrolled in any UG/PG course are eligible
Participants are encouraged to register in a team of two
A maximum of two teams per institution

RULES

The format of the debate will be based on the LINCOLN – DOUGLAS model of debating
2 v. 2 format
There will be a pre-break round in the competition. In post break, the rounds will be in Octa- finals, quarterfinals, semi-finals, and the grand finale
5 minutes will be given to each speaker and 1.5 for rebuttals in the pre-break round. The time limit for the post-break shall be 6 minutes and 2 minutes for the rebuttals.

REGISTRATION DETAILS

Registration shall be on a first come first serve basis
The early bird registration fee for Indian students will be INR 500
The early bird registration fee for international students will be $10
registration fee for Indian students: INR 7000
registration fee for international students: $15
Last date for early bird registration: May 31

PRIZE MONEY

BEST TEAM: INR 25000 (US $330 )
RUNNERS UP: INR 15000 (US $200 )
BEST SPEAKER (NATIONAL ) : INR 2500 (US $33 )
BEST SPEAKER (INTERNATIONAL ) : INR 2500 (US $ 33)
