Theme: The impact of the Pandemic on the legal Framework
The COVID 19 Pandemic has disrupted all aspects of human life to unimaginable proportions, globally. The actual impact of the economic slide and massive layoffs can be seen within the next two years. The Pandemic has also exposed how weak health care systems are, even in developed countries, to handle a health crisis of this magnitude. The worst hit have been the people of the unorganised sector, who unfortunately, are always at the receiving end of such calamities. Social isolation, which seems to be the new normal, has also impacted individuals psychologically. According to the National Commission for Women, domestic violence has increased during this period. Courts too have been forced to go on the virtual mode. The Pandemic has also seen gross Human Rights violations across the globe. In this context, Christ University Law Journal, invites submissions for its Special Issue on ‘The impact of the COVID 19 Pandemic on the legal framework’ from jurists/ political scientists/ economists/ sociologists/ scholars/activists//academicians/industry experts and researchers to engage in academic deliberations on the said issue. This special issue seeks to invite research articles having qualitative or quantitative research method approach, with a focus on any contemporary topic relating to the impact of Covid-19 on Law, Policy and Society.
