Alliance Centre for Intellectual Property Rights (ACIPR) under the aegis of Alliance School of Law, Alliance University, Bengaluru is organizing a “National Workshop on Artificial Intelligence’s Impact on Intellectual Property” on April, 26th 2023 in commemoration of World Intellectual Property Day, 2023.

About the Workshop

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become ubiquitous in our daily lives, and its impact can be felt across a broad spectrum of fields. With the swift development of AI, it becomes paramount to understand its interplay with the present legal framework. The Intellectual Property (IP) framework is one of the most suitable regimes to deal with the regulation of AI, which is indispensable in the current scenario. This Workshop has been designed to offer insight into AI’s impact on IP.

Eligibility

Students of any year from Five year or Three-year courses or LLM Courses from any college or university, academicians, research scholars or any individuals interested in Intellectual Property Rights.

About the Internship:

Centre for Civil Society’s latest initiative is to put India on a more sophisticated path of law-making. Based on an extensive literature review and a study of global best practices, we have developed a checklist that allows us to measure the quality of a given set of laws. The checklist outlines a set of minimum safeguards (democratic, legal and economic) that any legislation ought to conform to. It draws from indices that measure regulatory quality around the globe, including the World Bank, European Union and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development.

Law students.

In the next three months, CCS will analyses all 144 state laws on school education using their rubric and are looking for law interns to assist in application. Interested law students are required to fill the form below. The duration of the internship is as follows:

The internship will start from 28 October 2020 and end on 21 December 2020.

ABOUT THE CERTIFICATE COURSE ON OFFENCES AGAINST HUMAN BODY UNDER IPC

The Certificate course on Offences Against Human Body consists of three (3) Modules, which shall be made accessible to the enrolled students from the “My Courses” section from August 16 to September 15. The students must submit the “Assignment” which will be assigned on September 5 to be eligible for the issuance of the Certificate.

a. Outraging the Modesty of Women, Voyeurism, Stalking, Acid Attack
