About the Job
The Printers (Mysore) Ltd is looking for video content creators for its digital platform. If you are passionate about creating short videos on a wide range of topics – politics, law and policy, environment, tech, film, culture, sports – this is the job for you. The role includes creating original content in addition to following up on print stories in the Deccan Herald and Prajavani.
Job Description
We believe that news doesn’t have to be loud or shrill. We’re looking for video creators who can explore different aspect of a story and present it in the most visually compelling manner.
Experience
3 – 6 years
Desired Skills
- Ability to think and script visually for short features and news stories for a digital audience.
- Ability to storyboard and plan a shoot is mandatory.
- Should be able to carry out basic edits on Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Must be able to pitch for shows and work independently on creating fresh and appealing storytelling formats, visual look and structure.
- A presence on social media and an understanding of it is crucial.
- Must work to deadlines and find indigenous solutions to challenges.
- Must be willing to take ownership of a project from pre to post production.
- Should be able to coordinate all aspects of a shoot.
- Enthusiasm and an ability to keep calm and think through tough situations is mandatory.
- Familiarity with mirrorless cameras and ability to shoot would be a bonus. We’re always experimenting with MoJo, and we like exchanging notes on camera apps and mobile phone accessories to shoot stunning video!
- Must be a team player.
Language Requirement
- Excellent English skills, written and spoken.
- Functional knowledge of Kannada and Hindi
- Polyglots welcome!
